Chapter Two
An Unexpected Request

I sit on the floor of my bedroom as I bounce the beauty blender against my face, melting the foundation into my skin so that for once in my life I have some sort of an even complexion. Once that's done I apply a small amount of contour and concealer and blend that in so my face looks somewhat defined and less sleep-deprived. I mark out my eyebrows with a matching brown pencil and fluff them out with a spoolie, taking my full attention onto eyeshadow and eyeliner choosing neutral shades and adding a pop of gold shimmer to my lids and gently whilst holding my breath wing out my eyeliner and match it on the other side. "Okay, that went well which means tonight should go well too" I pray as I finish off my makeup with a highlighter and bright red lip. Finally, setting it with my Urban Decay All-Nighter setting spray so that shit stays on all night even if I'm sweating my tits off.
I stand up head over to my wardrobe and pull open the door as I scan my clothes, trying to decide on what to wear. I let out a heavy sigh as I grab my red silk body con dress off the hanger and slip it on over my black lace-matching lingerie set. I walk and stand in view of my full-length mirror which still has my makeup scattered in front of it as I check out my appearance. Another sigh falls from my lips as I unclip my hair and let it fall and sit on my shoulder, "This is the best it's gonna get at this rate" I state as I continue to overthink my entire outfit and makeup.
"You look stunning Sol" Silas's voice spoke, knocking me out of my downward spiral as I turn my attention to him with a small smile playing on my lips. He walks away from the doorway and stands behind me placing soft gentle kisses on my shoulder and neck, making me hum at the feeling of them on my skin.
"Do I look okay? Because I can change" I ask as I tug at the bottom of the dress, starting to contemplate going out altogether.
"Solar, You look delicious in that dress and if we don't leave this room soon, I'm going to rip it off your body and ravish you right here and now" He growls the last part into my ear, making me shiver with excitement.
"Hmm that sounds tempting, let's do that instead"He just rolls his eyes and steps away and picks my black lace-up heels from the floor and holds them out for me. "Nice try babe, but we're going out even if I have to drag that fine arse of yours out of here by force" He adds making me groan and reluctantly put on my heels. I grab my bag and fill it with all necessities before I spray some of my favourite perfume that drives Silas wild – hoping that I get lucky with him tonight even if we shouldn't be doing that. He places my leather jacket over my shoulders and guides us out of the door, locking it with his key to my apartment. I look at my driveway for his bike and quickly discover that it isn't there.
"Don't worry, I've borrowed my mate's car. I don't exactly feel comfortable driving that whilst you made so much effort in looking ravishing tonight" He claims as we walk down my drive. I notice a black SUV parked there causing me to give him an even more confused look than the one I did when I didn't see his bike.
"Some friend to trust you with this" I joke as he opens the passenger door for me, and helps to get in. I fasten the seat belt as he closes the door and gets in the driver's seat. He starts up the car and pulls away from my house and in the direction of the hot new supernatural nightclub.
"What is this nightclub even called?" I ask, trying to remember if I had even heard anything about a hot new club in town.
"I've already told you, but it's called Nightmare, It is owned by some demon and it becomes the hotspot for all creatures of all kinds to mingle – humans included"
"Ah. Can't say I've ever heard of it but then again when was the last time I ever paid attention to what goes on in the world" I laugh which earns a little chuckle from Silas as he indicates to turn left toward the nightlife section of town. I can't say we were driving long before we roll up the dark-coloured building with a bright red sign that spelt out Nightmare in fancy calligraphy.
"Wow"
"I know, the queue to get in is halfway round the block" He laughs as he parks up in the designated car park. I unbuckle my seat belt and climb out, my feet hitting the Stoney grovelled floor.
"A fancy nightclub like that can't afford a decent car park" I comment earning an eye roll from Silas as he comes to join my side to help me across the uneven floor which is even more difficult to walk on with my heels on. We cross the road to the nightclub and walk towards the large doormen which gives off scary and intimidating vibes.
"Silas plus one" He speaks as the guy with the clipboard scans his list before unclipping the rope barrier and letting us past. I bow my head as a thank you as we walk past and into the club, I hold onto Silas's hand tightly as he leads the way into a loud and crowded space. My jaw drops in awe as my eyes scan the view from the entrance balcony. Dark red velvet curtains cover the walls with gold tassel details on all the trims. Blackwood covers the floor which matches nicely with bannisters and railings. I slowly make my way down the stairs toward the main area which was bursting with dancing, drunk creatures. I let out a small giggle at how grand this place was for a nightclub and the fact my shoes weren't sticking to the floor.
"This place is amazing" I gush as I'm guided toward the bar by Silas who I knew was already looking out for his next conquest. As we weave our way through the crowd, I feel eyes burning into the back of my head but it wasn't an uncomfortable feeling rather an enticing feeling, instinctively I look behind me just to be met with a sea of people minding their own business. I turn back around and continue to follow behind Silas.
