Her ballet flats clattered to the floor as she stormed out of her dimly lit room towards her father's office. She pummelled his door with her fist causing her knuckles to split, blood staining the wooden doors.

"YOUR SENDING ME TO MUM" she screeched as soon as the doors were opened.

"Charlotte calm down" her father said in a quiet but assertive tone.

"You're telling me to calm down when you are about to send me back to live with an ABUSIVE EXCUSE OF A MOTHER SO THAT YOU CAN GO ON A BUSINESS TRIP" Charlotte bellowed across the cramped room.

Her father stood there glaring at her with his inky black eyes. He was a relatively tall man with broad shoulders and a thick moustache. His dense brows furrowed in to there usual position that caused a permeant frown to be constantly implanted on his face. His thin lips slowly parted as he let out a sigh.

"Go to your room and pack your bags you are leaving tomorrow" was all he said as a response to Charlottes pleads to stay.

She stormed out of the room tears of anger steaming on her crimson face. How could he do this were the only words spiralling through her head as she flopped on to her silky bedding. A sharpe pain pierced the back of her throat as she continued to sob into her sheets. Her eyes began to slowing shut as she slid into the clam that is sleep.

She gasped for air as she was woken by a sudden alarm. After creeping out of bed she made her way towards her mirror. Her hair was a matted clump, tangled flopping around on her back. Following the tedious task of untangling and braiding her hair she went to pack subsequently placing countless items into multiple duffel bags.

She glanced at her wardrobe before opening the door and running her hands down multiple dresses deciding on what to wear. Her hand stoped at one dress, it was a warm brown colour with puffed out sleeves on either side.

"Perfect" she whispered as a small smile tugged at the sides of her mouth.

The dress:

Charlotte slowly unbuttoned her grey silk pyjamas taking them off and pulling the dress over her head being sure not to ruin her hair. After that she promptly grabbed her bags and headed for the door. The oily banister of the stairs ran smoothly under her dainty fingertips as she crept downstairs hoping her father wouldn't hear her. Much to her dismay her father waited patiently at the bottom of the staircase his elbow on top of the banister. His face was showing guilt something Charlotte had never seen before.

"Hello" was all he said.

"Hey" Charlotte muttered in response.

"When will I being leaving?" She asked out of general curiosity.

"The taxi will be arriving soon, it will drop you off outside your mothers" he plainly responded.

"Ah okay" Charlotte replied.

The whole interaction that followed was painfully awkward or shall I say lack of interaction. Charlotte stood there a blank expression on her face. Her lips slightly parted to allow air to enter her body as she took deep breaths. She stood like that for a few minuets until a sudden ping echoed throughout the spacious room.

"That must be your taxi" her father said forcing a smile.

He grabbed her bags leading her out the door and towards a jet black car that reflected the suns bright light directly in to charlottes eyes causing her to squint.

"Well goodbye" her father plainly said.

"Bye father" she responded.

He shook her hand, his hands were cold and dry perfectly reflecting his personality. And that was it. Charlotte was slightly shocked as her hushed her into the car without even telling her when she would be able to move back in with him. She grasped the door handle slamming it directly in his face. The car began to shake as it slowing stared driving down the long gravel drive towards the main road leading towards the city and her mother.
