Uhhh so I've seen the whole Character AI thing pop up everywhere and just wanted to slap my opinion onto the table...

I don't think that it's a good thing, yeah, I know, sue me.
Seeing all those weird playlists of people 'getting freaky with CAI at 3am' pop up on my YouTube recommended was not very welcoming. It seems really weird and strange for people to talk to a chat AI, specifically when some people start to get really weird with the Celebrity Chat AI's.
I guess that when you see that sort of stuff and see the AI's start to actually talk like real humans, it's kinda scary. If someone can make those images and those lines of text, like an actual human does, what else can it do?
Chat GPT was already kind of spooky to think about, but what about an AI that starts talking like a real human being. They start using slang and words that most AI's shouldn't be using.
I don't know, it just freaks me out and I think we should all take a step back and chill the fuck out with the whole AI things.
