No no, this is not a Cat vs. Dog sort of thing. 

But rather, should cats be let outside?

My family has lived with tons of cats over the years, ranging from old, young, female and male. And never have we ever had a problem with our cats going outside.

Debate all you want with me about how you shouldn't put the little kitties into the outdoors, but if you don't and have the option to let them outside, it's borderline animal abuse.

Yeah, you heard me right. Abuse. 

Cats are far more independent than dogs and can take care of themselves better.

If you have a safe environment for your cat outside, then just let them out!

Yes, you need to train them first. But if you're going to say: "Oh I don't have time to do that!", THEN DON'T GET A FUCKING CAT.

If you can't take care of an animal correctly, then don't get one. Period.

Seriously though, cats can be let outside, and they can wander around for hours in a forest. They don't need to be monitored at all times.

Let me give a little example, you are a child (let's say 10-years-old). Will your parents let you go outside to play in your garden or get some icecream? YES. So why can't your cats go outside and catch a mouse or two? "BeCaUsE ThEy'rE iN DaNgEr oUtsIdE" Well, your parents let you go and walk around, aren't you in danger then too?

Well, why the fuck do you think the cats running away? Hm? Yeah, that's right, animals will run away if they don't like it in the household they're in.

Who knows, maybe you don't agree with me...

BUT YOU SHOULD.

Why?

Because this is the wellbeing of your cats. 

And if you're going to say you're an "AnImAl LoVeR",

then stop being a dick, suck up your ego and accept that your cats can be let outside.
