Vermillion Moon

I've always lived a life of lies,
forced to be equal to that of mice,
controlled under someone like dice,
always ignoring my heart breaking cries.

Ordered to eat the same food for days,
it's like the same day always replays.
The phrase that says all work and no plays...
some phrases are true, and that one decays.

A form of entertainment being the garden,
where the fun is packed in a miniscule carton,
and where I must always request for pardon,
it brings the garden down to just a garten.

The life I must live is like a single chronicle,
they express it like a life of joy, how ironical.
People who read it will only find it logical,
and all without a heart will see it as comical.

On nights where the moon is shining vermillion,
I'm still treated like some sort of reptilian.
I'm sure that even when the year is one billion,
I will never be seen as just a normal civilian.
