Watching Cherry roll over after my whole speech hurt my ego, although it could have suffered more without a problem. I wanted her to open up and tell me why she had been so down, so distant and so reluctant. She wanted absolutely nothing to do with me and I wanted to get to the bottom of it. I wanted to open her up until she was completely vulnerable, and then I wanted to bask in it, wrap my strings so tightly around her heart that it suffocated her, and even after death, I still wouldn't let go of her. I didn't know why I had these thoughts about her, yet I couldn't bring myself to shake them away. I wanted to hold her in my arms and breath in her scent until the sweetness wrapped around my lungs and I couldn't breath without her. So that's what I did. I waited silently. Staring at the ceiling until I heard her breathes become even and deep. Soft snores leaving her mouth. And I grabbed her waist and pulled her back against my chest. I burried my nose into her neck and I breathed her in. Hungry for her. Not all in a sexual way, I wanted her to love me. I wanted her to cling to me. I wanted her to cook for me, cuddle me, kiss me, go on dates with me, and to stop shoving me away as if I was some sort of STD filled addict on the streets.

The Following Morning (5:27 AM)

I woke up with sleeping beauty in my arms, just as she had been before I had fallen asleep. It was perfect. Especially when you consider the fact its a Saturday and she wouldn't wake up for another five hours. I wrapped another arm around her stomach and pulled her closer to me. A chill from the open balcony making goosebumps rise on her pale skin and she shivered into my warmth which forced a small laugh to escape my lips, the air running across her soft skin. Little did I know, My sleeping beauty wasn't a very heavy sleeper. I felt her tug away from me in a drowsy sense. I didn't want to let go. But the statement I had told her the night before stood true.

"You don't have to run from me, pretty girl. I wont hurt you or even look at you if you don't want me too, but I can tell something is up. So talk to me. I'm your husband, even if there's no feelings behind us, we are still bound to each other,"

I didn't want to lose whatever trust I had with her, so reluctantly I allowed her out of my arms and watched as she sat up and rubbed her eyes which nearly popped out of their sockets when they saw the time. "Really Kyrie?" She groaned in annoyance

"What did I do now sleeping beauty?" I chuckled out. It was adorable to see her upset over something so tiny. But I didn't want to aggravate her further by pointing it out.

"Its like, 5:30 in the morning! What kind of freak wakes up that early," She huffs out in a smooth and tired voice while leaning back on the bed and allowing her back to fall against the mattress, her cherry red hair fanning out behind her as she covers her face with her hands and groans in annoyance into them. I roll onto my side and prop my head up against my hand before reaching the opposite over to stroke her silky hair. I was immediately rejected by a stern glace that froze my bloodstream. For someone so beautiful, she sure was intimidating. I sit up and throw my hands up in surrender.  "Why did you have to move into this room with me anyways? There's like 8 other rooms in this place you could've chosen," She complains further.

"Maybe I just wanted to be able to wake up to your gorgeous face everyday, Sleeping beauty," I grin, flashing her my teeth. She just rolls her eyes, but it was worth a shot.

___

While laying in bed and watching Cherry complain about being woken up was enough entertainment for my heart and mind, she decided she had plans that she had to get ready for ASAP. I watched her come out of the master bedroom wrapped in a towel, beads of water dripping from her hair to her back. My eyes couldn't move even if they were ripped out of my skull. As she dug in her dresser, looking for anything. I stepped behind her slyly. Wrapping my arms around her and pulling her against me. "You're so fucking beautiful," I said softly with a gravely tint to my voice. My breath and words travelling into her ear and sending a chill down her spine.

"get away from me, Kyrie, this" She gestured between us "Isn't real," Her eyes were ice cold. The only thing radiating off her was anger and betrayal, yet i didn't know what from. But being the person I was, I wasn't good at letting things go so easily. She would learn that quickly, But this time I indulged her and stepped back. Clearing my throat before I speak again.

"I have a meeting with your father on Sunday. On Monday he's handing the company over to me," My voice came out more stern than I had intended, but I'm sure she wasn't too phased
