For years, HYDRA had attempted to create the next Winter Soldier. It was only when they combined the cells of the brainwashed James Buchanan Barnes and a lethal Red Room assassin, Natalia Alianovna Romanoff, that they began to show some progress.
They raised her to be a ruthless killing machine, unafraid to back down. She knew how to blend in, what to observe, and when it was the right time to strike. Beyond that, 017 was just a number. She had no identity, no family, and little understanding of being a real kid.
But then the corrupt organisation falls in one fell swoop, and everything 017 knows is tossed aside for the chance to live an average life. If only Peter Parker didn't make her situation more difficult.
