"Ness, hey, there's nothing to cry about; I'll make sure you get help," Isagi tried to comfort him.
Isagi put his hand on Ness's cheek and wiped his tears. Surprisingly, Ness let him.
"Do you want to sleep in my room tonight?" Isagi asked softly. "You know, so you don't have to see Kaiser," He clarified.
Ness nodded. In his mind, he decided that sleeping with Isagi was a better option than going back to his room with Kaiser. Especially when Kaiser was angry at him. Shouldn't I be the one who's angry? Ness thought.
Isagi held Ness's hand and led him to his room. Once they reached the room, he opened the door and gestured for Ness to go in before him. Ness complied and found himself standing awkwardly in the middle of the room. Lucky for him, everyone was fast asleep.
"My bed is right there," He pointed to the only empty bed. "I can sleep on the floor if you want."
Ness sat down on Isagi's bed and shook his head. "No. You said you wanted to talk, so let's talk." Ness patted the spot next to him on the bed.
"Okay," Isagi sat down. "Why have you been making yourself throw up?" Isagi started with the biggest question that had been on his mind.
Ness looked around the room, his gaze eventually landing on the floor below him.
"I do it when I'm stressed," He said.
"Why? You know it's not good for you, right?" Isagi inquired.
Ness rolled his eyes. "Of course I know that! I just...I can't stop myself," Ness admitted, voice shaking.
"Have you told any adults about this?"
"No, and I don't plan on it. I never wanted to tell you or Kaiser about it either," Ness confessed.
"Why haven't you told anyone else?" Isagi's question caught Ness off guard.
Because if they tell Noa, I won't be able to play, and if I can't play, I can't be useful to Kaiser. Ness thought.
"Because I don't know how." He answered.
Isagi thought about this for a moment, letting the puzzle pieces connect in his head.
"Why don't we tell Master Noa together?" Isagi asked, seemingly impressed with himself for coming up with such a solution.
Ness sighed, remembering what happened with Chigiri. "I already tried that, and I ended up running away at the last moment."
"If you run away, I'll just tell him myself." Isagi smiled, proud of himself for creating such a foolproof plan.
