It's not like I was brushed aside. When it comes to that guy, it isn't hard to imagine him blowing me up with his Quirk, spitting out curses and cusses left and right, or flipping me the middle finger. I knew it was a very sudden thing, and the circumstances weren't the ideal ones either. But, in reality, there wasn't much to it. Even now, I can still remember the sensation of those fingers, slightly bent as if giving me an answer.

It's been ten years since I became a pro hero. Since I'm always swamped with work, I can't afford to keep track of the seasons every single day. However, for some reason, I always become strangely restless during this time of the year. When I discussed that with my coworkers, they said it could be hay fever.

"Ah~ I also want to go see the cherry blossoms."

"They're in full bloom right now, too, right? But the weather is supposed to be bad this weekend. They might get all blown away..."

"Ehh~!? Then, all the more reason to see them as soon as possible!"

While preparing for dispatch, my agency's sidekicks were excited about cherry blossom viewing. Now that I think about it, I feel my older sister said something about the cherry tree planted in our parents' garden being in full bloom.

"Speaking of which, do you have anyone you want to see the cherry blossoms with, Shouto-san?"

"Now that I think about it, we don't hear rumors about you, do we?"

"While you're doing photoshoots, aren't you approached by the actresses and announcers a lot? It's kinda amazing."

"Anyhow, you've already been inducted into the billboard ranking of sexiest heroes, right? Can't say I envy you for that one."

"I don't understand that kind of stuff."

Pro heroes have a wide range of jobs to do, which go from patrolling around the city and rescue work for disasters to promoting activities. I can't say I don't have any free time, but I also can't afford to waste my time thinking about things unrelated to work. It seemed like some of my former classmates had gotten married already, but I think it's unlikely that the same will happen to me soon. I've always thought so. I find it hard to think about things that I can't see. It makes me want to neglect them right away. I mean, since it doesn't exist, I don't need to worry about it, right?

I wish it were something much more straightforward. If only it could be described somehow, then, for example, those who have this or that Quirk wouldn't make a wrong decision, wouldn't lose sight of things and would be able to make the right choices. You would have noticed things if that was the case, especially before you regret not noticing them.

"Thank you for your hard work. See you tomorrow!"

"Oh, Shouto! We're all going to eat out together right now. Do you also want to come?"

"Yeah, sure."

It's been eight years since I've set up my hero agency. I've known the sidekicks who work with me for nearly as many. I don't think it has been that long since I've become a pro hero, but the days still seem to pass by in the blink of an eye.

"Ah! Hey, hey. Isn't that person over there...!?"

"Oh right, people said he returned to Japan last week."
