The story starts in the darkened corridor of the Vault under Beacon. Only flashes of green and vermilion are illuminated in the darkness. More flashes are shown as Ozpin and Cinder Fall clash weapons against each other.
Back to the docks outside of Beacon, Air buses are seen picking up the last few civilians and students. Peter Port and Bartholomew Oobleck oversee the evacuation.
Port: That's it! Everybody on board! This is a mandatory evacuation!

Weiss is panting from exhaustion while using her reaper to prop herself up.
As Ruby Rose comes running down the path, Zwei barks to alert Weiss to her leader's presence, and Weiss turns around to greet her.

Ruby: Oh, thank goodness you're okay! What happened?
Weiss: Some of us are injured, but everyone is okay.
Ruby: Where's Yang?
Yang: OVER HERE!
Matt: SOMEONE NEEDS SOME HELP HERE!
Matt and Yang's urgent call cut through the air, drawing Weiss and Ruby's attention seeing Matt carrying a wounded Blake in his arms.
Ruby: BLAKE!
Weiss: Oh no.. BLAKE!
As Matt and Yang approached with Blake, the severity of the situation became apparent. Blake was unconscious, a piece of cloth clotting the wound that's staining her attire with blood.
Concern etched across Ruby's face as she knelt down beside Blake.
