School starts tomorrow! I'm so excited. I cannot wait to officially start at Hogwarts!
That morning, it's Sunday now if you couldn't keep up, I woke up at 7:03. When I looked around, Raine and Pansy were still asleep, but Astrid's bed was empty. I gently climbed down the ladder, and walked into the main area. Astrid was silently reading a book in the hanging chair by the bookshelf.
She looks so at peace. I can tell this is what she loves to do, be in quiet. I've noticed that she doesn't talk that much around anyone except us, being me, Raine, and Pansy. Normally, if someone's being quiet something's wrong. Not when it comes to Astrid.
She looks up at me, a curl falling in front of her glasses, "Good morning!" She greets in a hushed tone.
"Good morning!" I respond, walking over to her, "How long have you been up?"
"Not long, about half an hour, I couldn't sleep knowing that school's starting tomorrow."
"I know right. I'm so excited!" I look at the book she'd reading, "I love that one."
"Yeah, I started it today, so far it's really good."
"Just wait til the end, I almost cried," I said, laughing quietly and walking to the dining table. I grab a piece of parchment, a quill, and ink and begin writing a letter to Ginny:
Ginny,
Hi Ginny, I'm just going to give you a quick update on my life right now. So basically, I got sorted into Slytherin because apparently my mother was in Slytherin, and now me and Ron are not talking because he thinks that all Slytherins are horrible people. Anyway, my dorm is amazing! I share it with three other girls, Raine Riddle, and don't worry, she's so much better than her dad and brothers, Pansy Parkinson, who's surprisingly nice, and Astrid Zips. They're all so nice and just in the two days we've known each other we've already become best friends.
Yesterday we went to Hogsmeade to buy some things for our dorm, and we ran into Mattheo Riddle, Raine's twin, Draco Malfoy, you remember him, and Lorenzo "Enzo" Berkshire, who's actually really nice. Let's just say that they were coming to Hogsmeade for the same reason and Astrid OBVIOUSLY likes Enzo, so we ended up all in one big group. It ended up being really fun and the boys paid for everything because we were helping them.
Then we were getting butter beer when Ron walked with Harry, Harry Potter, he was the one at the train station, we sat with him on the train, super nice guy. Anyway Ron walked in and pulled me form the booth and asked me what I was doing hanging out with them and I told him that I could choose my own friends and maybe he should give them a shot because they're actually a lot of fun, and then he left. So yeah, that's all that's happened. But today I think we're going to start decorating because we didn't have time yesterday so Enzo's probably going to have to come over to help us build some stuff but then we're going to go to their dorm to decorate in there which is honestly probably going to be a lot of fun to decorate a boy's dorm.

I grabbed the envelopes, wax, and stamp I bought yesterday and packed the letter. Then I went to Bex's cage and opened the door. I tied the letter to her foot and opened the window, "Ginevra Weasley please Bex," She flew out the window, "Thanks!" I yelled as she got smaller and smaller.
