Y/n's POV:

I'm in my bedroom, listening to music while sketching a flower I found on my way home from the park.

It's a beautiful flower. I searched online for what it was called, and it was a peony.

I would have hung out with Marcus, but he said no, due to him wanting to get high.

He knows I would have joined him, but he wouldn't want me to get caught before school even started.

AP English is an ass. The teacher, Mr. Gitten is racist. I talked about it to Dad, but there wasn't much proof that Mr. Gitten was racist because one teen said so.

The only reason why I'm taking it is for Maxine. Hunter, he's alright. He used to like me, but I don't like him like that. He made it obvious he did but stopped after I started dating Marcus.

When I heard my phone ding with a notification. I realized I was dozing off.

I grabbed my phone and saw that it was a message from Maxine.

I got up from my chair, placed my phone on the desk, and grabbed my sweater

I got up from my chair, placed my phone on the desk, and grabbed my sweater.

I grabbed my phone and walked out of the room. I went to the front door and grabbed my car keys. I walked out of the apartment and went to my car.

As soon as I got in my car, I grabbed my phone and sent my dad a quick message to tell him that I was going to the Baker's house.

I connected my phone to the car and placed it in the cup holder.

I inserted the car key in the ignition and started the engine.

I waited for a bit so my music could start playing. As soon as it plays, I reverse the car to get out of the parking.

As soon as I had space, I started driving and making my way to the Baker's house.

While on my way to the Baker's house, I got a notification from Dad. I couldn't see what it was, so I let the car read it out loud for me.

A few text messages I know that would be sent from him were, "Text me when you're there." "I love you." And "Drive safe." I'm sure there was one other, but those 3 are the main ones.

I have my music blasting in the car, but not loud enough for me not to pay attention to my surroundings.

I looked at how much gas my car needed, and I saw how low it was.

I went to the nearest gas station. I parked my car next it, turned the engine off, and got out of the car.

I pressed a button to unlock the gas tank door. I closed the car door and walked to the side of my car and opened the gas tank door. I grabbed the gas pump and placed it inside the gas tank to fill it up.
