(Y/n)'s POV

I decided to take the white convertible with us to the shop. But I'm going to leave the top closed just so no one can see Veneer along the way. And the windows are tinted too, which works perfectly.

I pull the car out of the garage and park it at the front of the mansion. It's not long until Veneer walks out the door wearing the outfit he's going to wear for the performance today.

As he approaches, I lower the window to the passenger seat, my arm resting on the steering wheel. "Get in, Veneer, we're going shopping," I say to him in the most calmest and monotonous way possible.

Veneer chuckles before opening the passenger seat door and sitting inside. "Smart choice in the convertible."

I shrug my shoulders before driving the car down the street. "It's the best we can use when going out."

The driving isn't so bad. Not many cars are out, and no one seems to recognize the famous singer sitting beside me. The way to the shop is pretty silent. I keep my eyes on the road, and Veneer stares out the window in a very casual manner.

"So, this is just going to be in and out, or what?" I ask, finding the need to start up a conversation.

Veneer chuckles at my question. "You can never rush fashion, (Y/n). There are many stages to buying things. But I wouldn't expect you to know that much about it."

I glance over at him before looking ahead again. "Oh, really? Care to enlighten me on that then?"

"Gladly," Veneer says with a smirk. "Obviously, there's finding what you are looking for. Next is trying on those things. And then it's taking a long, and I mean long, time to figure out what to choose from."

I lift an eyebrow as I glance at Veneer when he emphasizes what he's saying. There almost seems to be a small glint of amazement in his eyes. "Okay? Is that all?" I ask.

"Then you buy what you got and that's pretty much it," Veneer finishes off as he slumps down in his seat.

I hum in thought before finally pulling up to the store. The place is empty, as promised, and I turn the car off. "Just don't take too long with this shopping spree of yours."

We both get out of the car and make our way to the entrance of the shop.

"Relax," Veneer says as he walks beside me. "I love to shop, but I have my priorities." Out of nowhere, he gasps as an idea pops into his head. "What if you help me choose what outfits to buy? I'll put them on, strut my stuff, and you get to watch."

I look to the side in thought. "Eh...Do I have to though?"

He wraps his arm around my shoulder enthusiastically. "Just do it. It'll be fun for the both of us."

"Fine," I say with a defeated sigh.

The first thing Veneer does when we enter the shop is dash over to the clothes section of the store. He looks around as if he were a kid in a candy store, which is pretty funny and cute in my opinion.

As that's going on, I look around a different section to pass up the time. That's when my eyes landed on a necklace with a (f/c) heart-shaped gem. I'm almost infatuated with the accessory because it feels like I've been staring at it for a minute or so.

I wish I brought money with me. Otherwise, I would have bought it.

"(Y/n)," A voice from behind me calls out.

Turning around, I see Veneer with a bright smile as he holds a few outfits with him. "Be a dear and hold these for me." Without saying anything else, he drops the clothes in my arms, catching me off guard for a second. He continues to look around for more stuff.

Looking down at my hands, I ask, "Is this everything you're gonna try on?"

Veneer shakes his head. "Oh, no. There's so much to choose from. So why not look for more?"

This is definitely going to take a while. And I sigh tiredly to myself when I come to that conclusion.

After what felt like an hour, Veneer finally picked out more outfits. He is currently in the dressing room, and I sit on a chair just outside the door.

I look down at my watch to check the time. It's only 2:18. Hopefully we can be out of here by four, if anything maybe sooner.

"Check this out, (Y/n)!" Veneer says, bringing my attention up to him. He walks out of the dressing room wearing black pants and a gold, sparkly shirt with a white fur jacket over.

I observe what he's wearing and hum in thought. "That looks pretty nice on you," I comment to him.

"Do you think I should buy it?" he asks excitedly.

With a nod, I say, "If that's what you want, go ahead. Try on the next one. Maybe it'll be better."

Veneer turns on his heel back to the door, but he stops before he closes it behind him. "Wanna help me with that?" he asks with a smug grin.

My eyes widen at the question. "No, what the heck?!"

Veneer closes the door with a chuckle, leaving me outside.

I look down, still surprised from what happened earlier. My heart literally skipped a beat when I started freaking out. And I think my face is red as well. What's wrong with me?

(Hello fellow readers. Sorry for not updating on this story in a while. I was really busy with these past few weeks of school, and I never got a chance to write on Wattpad. It's probably just me, but I think his chapter feels a little sloppy compared to the other ones. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed reading it. I'll find time to continue writing in the future.)
