*Second Person's POV*

November 27, 2023.

Night.

Taeyeon opened the door to her villa, she shared with her girlfriend, you, and stepped in. Discarding her heels by the entrance, she got in and turned on the lights. Or she tried to. But they weren't turning on.

"Fuck!"

She was already frustrated and sad because you hadn't called her yet. You were currently away on a business trip, and you still had two weeks to come back. However, you'd usually call her at least once a day no matter how busy you get and never forget to text her or reply to her, but today, you have done nothing like that so far. And today was not just like any other day for her.

Because today, after almost two years, she had released another album, 'To. X.'

You were there by her side when she had been working on it. When she felt stressed or felt like she wasn't giving her best, you were there to hold her, assuring her always that you were absolutely proud of her. So, it made her extremely sad that she couldn't share this day with you.

She had been trying to reach you since yesterday evening but to no avail.

Sighing, she walked into the kitchen in darkness, and as she was getting water from the fridge, she noticed that the backyard of your house was very much illuminated.

Taeyeon frowned.

She walked over and opened the door to the backyard, and her jaw almost dropped. The place was nicely decorated with a "Congratulations" banner, and a romantic dinner was already set up along with wine.

Before she could even process the full view, you suddenly hugged her from behind, startling her.

"Hngh! BABY!!" She shouted, seeing you.

You chuckled, pecking her cheeks before turning her around. She threw a punch on your chest. "Where were you? I have been trying to get you since yesterday." She whined with a pout.

You laughed again. "Sorry, Baby. I had to catch my flight here and get all this ready for your surprise."

"But how come you are here? You were supposed to come back–"

"I know, I know. But I also know today was special to you, and as your girlfriend, where else am I gonna be today other than by your side?"

"Baby!!" Her heart warmed. "But did you get to finish your work there?"

"Actually, no. I postponed my meetings. I will have to go back in two days."

Her face dropped. You pecked her nose.

"Don't be sad. I will come back as fast as I can for you."

Taeyeon blushed, and it made her heart flip to think that you took an almost sixteen-hour flight and arranged all these just for her.

She hugged you tight, burying her face in the crook of your neck.

"I missed you, Baby."

"Aw! I missed you, too, my love." You cooed, pulling away to kiss her forehead. "You didn't happen to have dinner yet, did you?"

She shook her head.

You took her hand with a smile and guided her to the table, and handed her the bouquet you had kept there.

"Congratulations, my love."

That's when she actually remembered the question she had been wanting to ask you the whole day. She forgot about it in the excitement of seeing you.

"Did you hear?" She asked happily, taking the flowers from you.

"Of course! I wouldn't miss it for the world, Baby." You chirped.

"How was it? Did you like it?" She questioned excitedly.

You smiled. "Of course! I loved all the songs. I am so proud of you, my love. You were simply amazing. I couldn't stop listening to your voice just a few minutes before."

She blushed again. "Do you have a favourite yet?"

"Oh! Let me see... uh, I loved all of them... but I think I listened to Burn It Down the most. Your vocals were just sweet and soulful. I can still feel the song running in my head." You explained with hearty eyes.

Taeyeon giggled, her heart filling up with love and adoration for you, and she leaned in to peck your lips.

"Thank you for all this, Baby."

"Always, my love. Are we good to eat now?"

"Did you cook?"

"No, sorry! I didn't get enough time for that. But I ordered from your favourite restaurant. Is that okay? I will make sure to cook for you next time."

She sighed, wrapping her hand around your nape.

"I love you so much, Y/N. Thank you for being such an amazing girlfriend." She whispered earnestly.

You smiled brightly. "I love you, too, Taeyeon-sshi."

She nodded, capturing your lips into a slow, delicate kiss. You pulled her closer by her waist, and she deepened your kiss, cupping your face. She nibbled on your rims, and you parted your lips for her to snake her tongue in. You kissed passionately, and it was growing needy and desperate with each passing second, which could have escalated to something more. But,

"Mmm... Baby, Baby, Baby!" You called, slightly pulling away. "We gotta eat."

"Can we skip? I really don't wanna let go of you yet!" She whispered sensually in your air, making you feel goosebumps.

"Who said I am going anywhere from you?" You asked playfully. "But you still need to eat, and we will cuddle up, and I want to listen to your album again while I hold you in my arms."

"Just that?" She asked teasingly.

You smirked, pulling her closer again. "No. There's so much more to that." You whispered in her ear before kissing her cheeks.

She blushed again, falling into your arms and nuzzling into your warmth, feeling happy and content more than ever.

Being with you made her feel like she was on the top of the world, and she couldn't have asked for anything else to make her day brighter.
