Sorry for shorter updates, I am not feeling great😅 pretty sure my best friend since forever is leaving me and that's taking quite a toll on me, also school.

Anyway! To the story!!

——

This cherry-headed girl woke up to the infirmary being in absolute shambles, people were racing around with poisoned patients and others struggling to make the antidote for it. She slowly sat up before she felt someone yank her out of bed and place her in scrubs.

"Time for surgery, you got six backed up, all with toxic gashes and liquid in their lungs!" Sakura nodded along as she shook herself awake, now feeling the urgency as she adjusted her gloves before heading into the surgery with a clear head.

By the time she was done with the surgeries, she had to then go to replenish all the antidotes, and after it was worse.

People were hallucinating, some burning with fevers, and others thrashing around with their gear still primed and ready. A nurse came to Sakura crying as a deep cut ran across both her eyes and was bleeding without remorse.

Her chakra was near zero, 100 healings seal activated and eating at her energy like a rabid animal, but she couldn't stop. Not when everyone was in such dire needs.

She saw how her arms locked and her chakra sputtered out, the dying healing flame making her curse as she took a step back to assess her hands, they trembled and she noticed her chakra coils shriveling up more than they should.

Like the doctor she is, she called Zabuza.

"Place chakra into my hands, more than you could imagine," she commanded him right when he entered, he was taken aback by her harsh words. But knew the hospital was in shambles so he did as she asked.

"Damn pinky, your chakra coils-" she yanked her hands away when he was done and went back to the patient with an open chest wound, her chakra flaring up and healing the person as she ignored the burning pain her hands provided.

Zabuza stayed, elbowing her back every time she was going to collapse, and giving her a long supply of coffee and chakra pills as she also leaned on him for power naps. This was an on and off habit as it spanned for about three days time.

Not one of the doctors left that hospital till everyone was stable, then Sakura forced them all to eat in the canteen as she stayed behind to keep everyone stable. Word spread quickly and soon hunters Sakura were acquainted with came over to help her.

Since not many were able to be nurses and heal like she could, they instead would holler when a patient woke up, or talk to certain people to keep them company in such stuffy rooms. By the time doctors started to file back in, Sakura truly was the definition of exhausted.

Her feet barely kept her balanced as her legs felt like jello under her weight, her arm temporarily stuck in a t-Rex position as her muscles were too strained and buckled in on themselves. Her chakra coils shriveled to the size of peas as physically no chakra was left in her seal and barely any was left in her body.

She still smiled as everyone cheered for her, they already were starting a celebration as she walked out and collapsed in into the arms of the first person she knew.

This ended up being Haku.

"Rough day?" Was his rather amused remark, Sakura sighed and sank into his arms, not caring for formalities.

"Rough days more like it." She muttered back as a reply, Haku knew she looked like crap and felt like it, she smelt of a doctor's office and their disinfectant. So he did the only normal thing and scooped her into his arms.
