Sakura looked at how everyone either had crates in hand or weapon ammunition for torrents and cannons.

She was currently making her way to the table for a meeting but was stopped by the head researcher, whose name Sakura unfortunately forgot.

"Sakura correct?" The women spoke monotonously, Sakura nodded her head in confirmation.

"I've already talked to the chief about this, but we have a bit of a problem with the route to the great ravine, where we are supposed to fight Zorah Magdoros. An Anjanath appears to be taking a liking to our travelers and we need you to take care of it for us." The researcher explained with a firm grip on her clipboard, her eyes were obviously stressed from all the paper she had most likely been writing.

Sakura nodded her head again and smiled confidently.

"Don't worry researcher-sama, I got this, how hard could it be?"

It was in fact, very hard.

Sakura trudged through piles of mud and leaves just to climb up old vines, and when she glanced down she saw the forest floor hundreds of meters away.

Sighing she continued up, when Sakura made her way to the top she spotted a small pile of four to five red scales. Getting up the rest of the way and heaving herself up, she went to examine the scales.

Picking one up she looked at it with slight curiosity. She only had Itachi accompanying her since she was unfamiliar with the forest and was not very trusting of its surroundings. So she left Akamaru to get acquainted with everyone else.

"Interesting, it's kinda shiny....-" her voice trailed off as she saw in the reflection of the red scale to what was behind her, she heard a snarl and felt her back heat up.

"It's the Anjanath!" Sakura screeched out involuntarily as she barely dodged the fire that was sent her way, the red beast growled before roaring but Sakura was ready and had her long sword drawn.

The T-Rex growled and lunged for Sakura, she in returned tried to dodge again but was a hair too short, as the Anjanath bit down on her foot Sakura let out a yelp and winced in pain at the crushing feeling of her bones snapping.

The Anjanath then lifted her off the ground and started to fling her around like a chew toy, Sakura slammed into trees and rocks before finally the beast let her foot go and she tumbled into a pair of bushes.

But this thing was relentless and Sakura already heard it coming over to her for round two. She gripped her sword tightly, before barely being able to stand.

"Time for a cat-tastic rescue!" Sakura heard her Palico exclaim, she looked to her left to see him holding onto a giant bug filled with a green liquid.

Once Itachi was over her, the Palico slashed the bug in half and a green mist rolled over Sakura...and she felt great!

Grabbing Itachi she ducked back just enough so the Anjanath wouldn't get another hit on her by swinging its tail around. Sakura placed her Palico down, but not without patting him a few times on the head.

"Alright, time to get serious Shanaro!" Sakura twirled her long sword around before she charged forward, when she gained enough speed she slid on her knees and slashed the Anjanath's achilles. Causing the beast to limp back with a growl.

But Sakura didn't stop there, planting one of her feet onto the ground she poured her chakra into her blade and watched as it turned from a blue light to a deep red. Then she pushed herself up into the air and stabbed her sword into the beast's back.
