Levi's POV

I let Hanji go off and help teachers in need as I started my first class. With school back in session, I was bombarded with syllabuses, homework plans, and presentation slides. I wasn't the only one in need of help. Rachel Princeton was going on maternity leave soon, and she needed help with her classroom. I suggested Hanji to help. Not only did the job require nothing but common sense and listening to Rachel, but she could also help regain memories. The doctor said that a classroom could help spark them to life. Maybe she would remember her school life. I had high hopes for her...

"You're free to go," I say to the students, watching them race to the cafeteria first.

Heading off to check on Rachel and Hanji, a curious question was asked within the science classroom. "So... how do mitosis and meiosis differ from each other?" I heard a young girl ask. I expected Rachel to answer, but it was Hanji. I peeked into the classroom and saw Hanji giving a full explanation to the girl. There was this... spark in her eyes. I admit, it was cute seeing it. "Oh... okay... thank you, Miss!" The girl quickly sprints out of the classroom, leaving the two women to laugh. It wasn't long until Hanji's eyes met mine.

"Levi?"

Rachel gasped and smiled, "Hey there, Levi. Students behaving?"

"It's what you expect from a group of freshmen," I say as I turn to Hanji, "So how's she doing? Are you doing alright, Hanji?"

"I feel somewhat at home. I'm taking more of Rachel's job and succeeded at it. I found out I'm very open to students and these science explanations spout out of me without hesitation. I think I have a background in science. Of course, I have nothing to prove it."

"If anything, I might hire her as my substitute." Rachel chuckles, patting Hanji's back. "But I think I need to hire one with the right qualifications. Maybe you weren't a teacher, but you're right about having a science background. For now, I can use her as an assistant."

The women continued to talk as I dismissed myself from the classroom. Without realization, the lunch period ended quickly and I didn't have time to eat. Lost wandering in my mind, I allowed time to pass. I taught class until the end of the day and waited for Hanji. Even if she didn't have her memories, I think it's fair she had something to do with science. I want her to work, not just because I think she's a burden, but because she needs a start to her new life.
