You groaned as sunlight hit your face. You tried to move, but your whole body felt like lead.
'My whole body is sore, maybe I should've taken Levi up on that offer of taking a small break.' You think to yourself as you open your eyes. Suddenly, you hear the door slam open, and you see your squad mates start to file in. Levi was at the front and seemed to be carrying something.
"Hey (F/N), how are you feeling?" Petra asked.
"Well, other then my body being in absolute pain from running for around five hours, I'm doing great." You say.
"Well what did you expect?" Levi says as he places something in front of you.
"Eat." Was all Levi demanded.
You, however, just stared at what was in front of you. After closer inspection it was what you presumed to be stew.
"Tch, I didn't just spend an hour and a half cooking and making a mess, for you to just stare at it." He said harshly.
"Yeah, you should've seen him, he had to make the stew three times before getting it right." Eld says as he tries to keep himself from laughing. Levi just clicked his tongue in response while looking away.
You hesitantly brought the spoon up to your mouth and took a bite.
Tears then started to fall from your eyes.
"Tch, what is it now?" Levi says.
"Its delicious, thank you so much." You say happily as you took another bite.
Everyone just smiled at your reaction.
"If its so delicious then maybe I should try some." Gunther teased.
"Yeah, after all he did make a large pot of it, I'm pretty sure that there's enough for everyone." Eren says.
"Tch, whatever." Was all Levi said.
"Well then let's go get some." Petra says, trying to get you two some alone time.
As she left you mouthed the words 'thank you'. She just gave you a small smile and closed the door.
"You lied to them didn't you." Levi said as soon as the door closed.
"What are you talking about?" You asked confused.
"The stew isn't delicious, is it?" He said.
"Well, to me its the most delicious thing I have ever tasted." You said honestly.
"However, to them it's going to taste really really bitter." You continued.
"If its so bad, don't eat it." He said as he tried to get the bowl away from you.
"No way, I'm going to eat every last bite, like I said before this is the most delicious thing I have ever tasted." You say as you move the bowl out of Levi's reach.
"Tch, your an odd one, how can it be delicious if its so bitter?" He asked.
"Simple, it was made by you." You say innocently, causing a light blush to dust Levi's cheeks.
"Whatever brat." He muttered as he looked away.
"Aw~, is Levi blushing, how cute~." You tease.
Levi just clicked his tongue. That was when a moment of silence fell upon both of you. The only sound in the room is of you eating.
"So, how long am I to be in bed?" You ask after you finished eating.
"You should be good if you rest for today." Levi says.
"Aw, but its so boring in here." You whine.
"Then you can help me with paperwork." Levi threatens.
"Fine, its better then doing nothing." You say.
You then try to get up, but Levi beats you to it. He picks you up bridal style and begins to walk towards his office.
"L-Levi, I can w-walk by myself!"
You stutter.
"Tch, your suppose to be resting your body, I won't have you move a single inch." Levi snaps at you.
"Then how am I suppose to help you with your paperwork?" You ask.
"By laying down where I can keep an eye on you." He says as he continues to make his way towards his office.
"Ehhh, but I don't wanna just sit around and do nothing, that's so boring." You whine.
"Tch, stop your whining, you
sound like a damn brat." He says.
"You always call me one so why can't I act like one." You say.
Then realisation hits you as you say "Didn't we have this conversation before?"
"Tch, how am I suppose to know, you always talk so its hard to remember everything you say." Levi says.
"Aw~, but you love me anyways~." You say as you poke his cheek.
Levi just clicks his tongue and says nothing, proving that what you said is true.
We finally reach his office. He carefully opens the door with you still in his arms, and walks inside. He closes the door with his foot as he walks to his bedroom and carefully puts you on his bed.
"Now just rest here like good little girl." He says smirking.
"Jerk." You mutter.
"Yeah, but you still love this jerk." He says as he kisses your forehead.
"Yeah, I do." You admit as you move around to find comfortable place to rest in.
Levi then leaves to finish his paperwork in his office, which you can easily see from his bedroom.
After a few hours go by, you start to feel tired.
____________Levi's POV___________
I was sitting at my desk doing my paperwork, I look up to see that its already dark out. I look towards my bedroom, only to find that (F/N) is sleeping comfortably. I get up and walk over towards her.
'She looks like a child when she's sleeping.' I think as I brush of strand of hair that was in her face.
I walk back to my desk and quickly finish the rest of my paperwork. After I was done, I quickly get changed, and crawl into bed next to (F/N).
As soon as I lay next to get, she immediately clings onto me.
'She can be so adorable at times.' I think to myself as I wrap my arms around her and bring her closer. I quickly fell asleep thinking about (F/N), unaware of the upcoming danger.
