The night was silent as the two boys flew through the London sky with excitement. Charlie couldn't stop smiling; it felt as if he were free, even the sadness he had felt moments ago disappeared completely as he soared alongside Peter.
Charlie felt the wind embrace his dark hair like a gently chilled hug as he opened his arms to gain momentum and fly even faster and higher. Peter then approached him with Tinker Bell, pointing to two stars, especially the second star to the right.
- Turn at the second star to the right and straight on till morning! - Peter exclaimed excitedly, holding Charlie's hand and flying with him towards the iconic Big Ben clock.
Charlie observed the clock, watching every movement as the hands approached midnight. Peter then flew behind the boy and said,
- Get ready...
Though Charlie didn't fully understand, he felt Peter grasp his hand again, and as the grand clock struck midnight, a thunderous sound echoed. The two boys gained momentum and flew at tremendous speed towards the nearest second star. It was as if they had passed through a portal. When Charlie opened his eyes, he saw stars, planets, and galaxies-were they in space? It was incredible, and Charlie could hardly believe it was happening.
- It's so...
- Fantastic? - Peter interrupted, still holding Charlie's hand.
- Yes,- Charlie said, smiling as he looked at Peter intensely. He felt a small flame ignite in his heart while looking at the blond, but he tried to ignore it.
Tinker Bell, flying alongside them, looked somewhat suspicious at Charlie but didn't pay much attention.
Charlie and Peter passed through another portal, arriving at a beautiful place filled with pink-toned clouds that captivated young Charlie even more. Calmly, Peter led Charlie to a nearby cloud, and they sat together, pointing towards the beautiful island ahead-the Neverland. Charlie widened his eyes in amazement, witnessing a rainbow crossing the island's sky, traversing its mountains. Joy covered his entire body, making him unable to stop smiling. He even looked at the sun, which, for some reason, had the face of a real person, but he tried not to find it strange. After all, it was Neverland, right? Peter gazed at Charlie, seeing the boy's happiness in that place. For a moment, Peter had a vision of the day he brought Wendy and her brothers there, almost bringing tears to his eyes. However, he composed himself and shifted his gaze to the abandoned Jolly Roger, feeling gratitude but also missing the battles with Hook on that ship.
Quickly, Peter grabbed Charlie's hand again, and the two finally flew to the large island, landing on it. Charlie felt the grass under his bare feet since he was also shoeless.
Peter released Charlie, watching the excited boy look around and up at the place.
- Is it as you imagined, Charlie?- Peter asked in an animated tone.
- can't even imagine this! - Charlie exclaimed joyfully, jumping with happiness.
The two boys, accompanied by Tinker Bell, walked across the island. Peter was leading the way while Charlie followed behind calmly.
- Peter.
- Yes?
- Isn't it kind of lonely here? You know, without the Lost Boys and all...- Hearing that, Tinker Bell glared angrily at Charlie, who noticed it and felt embarrassed by what he had said.
- Oh no, Tink, sorry, I didn't forget you. I'm just asking because, you know, besides the Indians who don't live with you, don't you feel lonely here? - Tinker Bell sighed, understanding what Charlie meant, but then looked at Peter, who stopped walking for a moment, turned, and smiled at Charlie, slowly approaching him.
- Who said we're alone?- Peter spoke, giving his mischievous smile and then laughing. Charlie didn't quite understand when suddenly, from the bushes and trees, nine children of different sizes and apparently ages emerged, surrounding Charlie. The boy observed these children-four girls and five boys.
- Charlie, these are the new Lost Boys! - Peter exclaimed excitedly, spreading his arms.
- These are the twins, Sol and Luna,- the blond pointed to two girls, one with blonde hair and freckles, wearing a yellow-toned dress, and the other with dark hair and slightly pale skin, dressed in a school uniform but completely torn as if she had found it there.
Peter then pointed to the other two girls named Diana and Alana. Diana had dark curls and wore a checkered shirt with a dark skirt, while Alana had red hair and wore a fox-themed pajama, being one of the smallest in the group, smaller than Diana and Luna. The other boys were introduced next-Jake, Dylan, Arthur, Mark, and Nick. Jake, Dylan, and Mark had brown-toned hair and wore more "primitive" clothes made of leaves, similar to Peter, but each of them wore shorts in blue and black tones. Arthur and Nick had dark hair almost the color of Charlie's hair. They wore a white shirt and brown shorts, but Arthur also wore a green jacket.
The Lost Boys (even though half of them were girls, but that didn't matter) looked at Charlie somewhat confused; they probably didn't expect the boy to be there. Luna and Sol whispered to each other when suddenly Tinker Bell flew to them, whispering and explaining the whole situation in Luna's ear, passing the message to each of her friends until it reached Nick. The children looked at Peter, wondering if he was sad about Wendy leaving, but he didn't seem upset, so they just tried to forget about it.
- Well, Charlie came to see Neverland!- Peter said to the Lost Boys with joy.
- Welcome! - all nine children said in unison.
- And he knows many stories... so he'll tell us a lot! - Peter added, making Charlie a bit shy, causing him to look down with a slightly red blush on his cheeks without anyone noticing.
Alana then approached Charlie calmly, holding his pajamas and calling him. Charlie just looked at Alana and smiled gently.
- Yes? - Charlie said.
- So, are you going to be our new mommy? - Alana asked innocently.
Upon hearing that, Charlie felt his entire face warm up and gradually turn red with embarrassment. He then looked at Peter, who was smiling playfully. Peter also heard that and let out a low chuckle, surprised that Charlie, being a boy, could be a mother... at least he thought so. Peter even turned his face slightly to the side, thinking about it, unintentionally causing his face to have light and small pinkish patches.
On the other side of Neverland, a small fairy with dark hair and a yellow dress flew quickly as if escaping from something. Suddenly, a mysterious feminine hand grabbed the little fairy, walking with her towards the Jolly Roger.
