Ew a manLottie had got to her apartment about three hours ago her boxes had been dragged in and unpacked by herself Lennie, Lou and Ryan. Now they were getting ready for the 'party' most things were ready all the unpacked boxes had been shoved into her bedroom and Lottie had gotten herself ready while Lou and Lennie went home to get ready themselves leaving Lottie and Ryan alone to wait for everyone else to arrive.
Lottie was leaning on her kitchen counter with a drink in her hand Ryan was stood in front of her with his own drink.
"We've done a good job i think" Ryan smiled looking around the apartment
"We did a great job but it needs work i want to paint i think it needs more colour"
"What colour were you thinking"
"Pink maybe pale yellow"
"You have yellow energy does that make sense like if you were a colour you'd be yellow"
"Thank you maybe" she sounded slightly confused
"I like the colour yellow i meant it as a compliment" he smiled at her again
There was a moment of silence before Lottie broke it
"You'd be orange"
"why orange"
"you're just a very orange guy"
"well orange and yellow go well together" Ryan pointed out
"yeah yeah i guess they do" she looked around awkwardly before slipping away to get herself another drink as she poured the drink she heard a knock at the door leading to her half running to let them in. She opened the door to a tall man with aggressively blue eyes
"Hello" it came out as more of a question
"Hi" he stepped in "I'm Rob"
"I'm Lottie" they stood in slightly awkward silence before Lottie broke it again
"do you want a drink"
"go on then"
and with that they walked to the kitchen where Ryan was still stood
"Hey" he smiled at Rob as he entered the room
"This is Bobby he's our bassist"
"Have you just invited your band"
"He has" Bobby answered for Ryan
"When you said you we're inviting friends i assumed you meant more than three"
"Well how many have you invited"
she paused for a second looking around nervously at her new flat "Three"
"Great we're even"After about half an hour everyone had made their way into Lottie's apartment and fallen into their own conversations. It looked like Lou had hit it off with Ryan's friend Josh and Lennie had begun talking to Rob and at some point Ryan's other friend Eli had invited himself into their conversation leaving Ryan and Lottie alone.
Lottie stood in the kitchen making herself a drink when Ryan wandered in with his own drink.
"I still don't know if I should hold drinks around you" he smiled as he leant on the counter next to her
"I still feel bad about that and slightly embarrassed"
"Don't it's totally fine and if you didn't spill my drink we wouldn't have met"
"True and who knows maybe i wouldn't have moved"
"Happy you moved?"
"Yeah I am I mean I don't know why i didn't move earlier most of my mates are here and I do my recording here so"
"The move makes sense then but I get not moving earlier I mean it's hassle isn't it"
"Yeah to be fair it was but it was worth it"
"There you go then hopefully you'll be happy here"
Lottie went to answer but before she could Josh walked into the kitchen
"Hi sorry to interrupt but have you got any like wipes maybe carpet cleaner Lous been sick"
"Oh lovely but yeah i do i'll grab them can you just make sure no one steps in it" she turned to her cupboard and grabbed a pack of wipes to clear the sick
"I don't think anyone could miss it it's bright pink"
"What the fuck is she okay"
"You did say you wanted more colour in your apartment" Ryan added very unhelpfully
"I don't think this is exactly how i meant that" she said as she made her way over to the pool of sick which had attracted a small crowd. Josh hadn't lied when he said it was bright pink.
"Sorry Lottie" Lou shouted to her from the bathroom
"It's okay don't worry about it" she shouted back as she began clearing the floor and placing it in the bin there really wasn't that much so it didn't take long to clean it up
"Okay no one slip and if you do i'm not liable"
The party continued smoothly for another hour or so before the music was turned way up and everyone had gotten considerably drunker; the group was gathered in the living room of the apartment when the opening of the song Girls by the 1975 crackled out of the near dead speaker
"I love girls" Lennie half shouted over the music
"what" Eli snapped his head over to look at her
"wait no no not like that like this song the song girls" she rushed to explain
"i do really like this song though" she added again after a second of silence as she began to move her head to the beat of the music
"Wow pulling out the moves there En" Eli laughed
"you know what i bet i'm a better dancer than you i'd so beat you at a dance battle"
"Come on then prove it" Eli stood up beginning to dance slightly awkwardly Lennie joined him on the makeshift dance floor and began to do her own sort of dancing moving her arms about earning her a couple giggles and some clapping from her friends
"see the people agree i'm better already"
"They just haven't witness enough of my skills"
"Trust me Eli we have" Rob shouted over the music
"Exactly Eli just give up" was the last thing Lennie managed to add before she slipped on the wet patch from where Lous sick had be cleaned up earlier Eli rushed over to help his pervious opponent up offering out his hand Lennie grabbed it allowing him to help pull her up on the floor resulting in the two ending up closer than intended and remaining there for a moment longer than they should have looking at each other in the eyes before they both started laughing and separated each going back to the group.
"I think Lennie won there" Ryan said pointing to her as he did
"Oh shut up you're only saying that out of pity because she fell over" Eli dismissed his comment
"Well someone's a sore looser" Lottie added taking a sip of her drink. The song moved into the next and the group continued to talk until eventually they had decided to begin to leave at around midnight ultimately leaving Lottie alone for her first night in her new apartment which had decided she'd clean up in the morning.——————————☆—————————-——
