After the rocky start to their day, Tom and Aurora decided to make their day better by going out on an actual date for once. Aurora was nervous. No one had ever actually taken her out on a date before. Aurora and Tom took Tom's car instead of a cab for once and drove to Aurora's house first to get her some clothes. Aurora frowned when she saw her broken door, but walked in and packed a bag of clothes and other necessities, changing into her favorite leather pants and her favorite black top. She decided to put her hair in boxer braids so it'd be out of her face. Aurora decided to wear her favorite silver rings as well. She then made her way back to her living room where Tom was waiting, tapping away on his phone, his gaze instantly going to Aurora and putting away his phone as she stepped out.

"You look stunning" Tom smiled, walking to Aurora and giving her a kiss before grabbing her hand and walking her to the car, opening the door for her like a gentleman.

"Where are you taking me?" Aurora asked, fiddling with her rings nervously.

"You'll see" Tom smiled.

After a 20 minute drive, during which Tom held Aurora's hand the entire time, Tom pulled up to a chinese restaurant, which Aurora had mentioned to him once was her favorite. She felt her heart flutter as Tom opened the door for her, immediately taking her hand into his again and walking her into the restaurant.

"I can't believe you remembered that I love this place" Aurora smiled after they'd ordered their food.

"Of course I remembered" Tom smiled.

Soon, their food arrived and they ate as they made conversation, Aurora struggling slightly but eating anyway, wanting to keep up the good atmosphere between them. Once they'd finished eating, Tom paid despite Aurora's objections. Aurora excused herself to the bathroom to inject her insulin. Then, Tom led her back to the car by her hand, helping her in and getting in himself after.

"So... We need to go to a party again tomorrow" Tom spoke as he drove, holding Aurora's hand again.

"We?" Aurora asked, biting her lip to stop herself from grinning. At this moment, she was truly care-free and happy.

"Yes. Rach and Josh will be there too" he spoke, smiling. Aurora loved them together like this, so happy, not worried about anything. She wished she could be like this more often. She was still smiling when they made their way back to Tom's apartment.

They laid on the couch, watching Friends, cuddled into each other. Aurora decided to check her phone for the first time in a few days. She answered Rachel's texts before going to Instagram. She frowned as she saw she had a bunch of new followers, and was being tagged in something. She clicked on the mention, freezing as she saw TMZ had posted a picture of him and Tom getting into a club together. Her eyebrows knitted as she glanced up at Tom, who was still focused on the show. She clicked on the comments and immediately regretted it.

'he could be with anyone and chose... that?'

'tom could get so much better'

Aurora felt her eyes fill with tears. She quickly wiped the tears that fell, closing her phone. She didn't want to ruin the nice day they were having. She breathed out heavily, trying to calm herself down.

"You okay?" Tom asked, his gaze moving to Aurora.

"Yes, I'm fine" Aurora lied convincingly.

"You're not. Your hands are shaking" Tom gently said, taking Aurora's hand into his.

"We'll handle it later" Aurora mumbled, leaning her back even more into Tom's chest, focusing her gaze on the TV.

"Aurora, tell me" Tom said, turning Aurora around so she was lying on top of him.

"It's just... Forget it. I just got panicked" Aurora mumbled, leaning her head on Tom's chest. His hands went into her hair, massaging her scalp.

"Baby" he whispered, waiting for Aurora to tell him what was wrong. He always wanted to fix what was bothering her. He wanted to make her feel good.

"Just some stupid comments online" Aurora mumbled, making Tom frown.

"You saw those, huh?" he said, his hands not leaving Aurora's hair.

"You knew?" Aurora asked, fighting back tears.

"Yeah, I tried to get them taken down" Tom said gently, his hand moving to Aurora's chin and lifting her head to look at him.

"They're just jealous. Because you're so fucking gorgeous. Aurora, I'm proud to be yours" he said. Aurora looked into his eyes and saw that he was being completely truthful.

"They're right, though, aren't they?" Aurora sighed, making Tom freeze.

"They're not, baby" he soothed her, looking at her with worry in his eyes.

"You could have anyone" Aurora mumbled, letting a tear fall from her eye.

"Aurora, have you seen yourself? You're like... the most fucking gorgeous woman on this earth. How you do not see it is a mystery to me. I feel lucky to even breathe the same air as you. Baby, you're the only one I want to be with, never question that, okay? I'm in love with you. Only you" Tom spoke, his eyes not leaving Aurora's.

"You're so good to me, Tommy. I love you" Aurora breathed out, wrapping his arms around Tom.

Tom smiled to himself. For once, she had let him be there for her. She had let him love her.
