A Matter of Price
Astarion has settled on a peaceful meadow in the midst of the park. The birds above him chirp in the trees, and the gentle rustling of the leaves forms a harmonious backdrop to the bustling scene around him. The park is filled with people of all kinds: families enjoying picnics, couples strolling hand in hand, and curious children feeding the ducks by the pond. The diversity of visitors reflects the cultural vibrancy of Baldur's Gate.
The air is filled with the scent of blooming flowers, and the vibrant colors of the flora seem to dance in the sunlight. Astarion can observe the lively activity in the park as he stretches out on the soft grass. Many birds fly over him; some perch on the branches of the trees, singing their melodic tunes.
Near the meadow, a few children frolic, their joyful laughter and shouts filling the air. A squirrel scurries busily between the trees, searching for nuts.
As Astarion immerses himself in the scenery, he suddenly enters a meditative state. The gentle rustling of the leaves and the chirping of the birds create a harmonious symphony that almost puts him into a trance. The world around him fades, and for a moment, he forgets the worries and troubles that have plagued him so far. His breathing becomes calm, and he loses all sense of time.
In this immersed tranquility, far from the problems and hustle of the city, he feels a strange serenity. Suddenly, a loud clack breaks the silence. Astarion startles as a nut falls from a great height onto his forehead. Annoyed, he squints his eyes and stares at the curious squirrel perched above him in the trees. The fleeting smile that had previously crept onto his lips gives way to an expression of dissatisfaction.
The small creature shows no signs of remorse as it picks up the nut and scurries away. His brief nap is abruptly interrupted, and the tranquility of the park is tainted by a hint of irritation. The vampire sighs deeply as he gathers himself and looks up at the sky. A cold shiver runs through his body as reality returns.
The mysterious business partner awaits, and the sun's rays, providing him shelter, will soon extinguish. The idea that his former vampiric "siblings" might be lurking in the shadows quickens his pulse. The thought of being tracked down by his old master propels him forward.
Hastily, he sets his steps in motion, his gaze fixed on the setting fireball. The path to the promising meeting must progress faster before darkness becomes his trap. The shadows lengthen, and the vampire senses twilight settling over the city. Every moment without the protective daylight brings him closer to the uncertain danger lurking in the dark corners.
Astarion reaches the Passiflora, a magnificent multi-story building that majestically towers over Baldur's Gate in the twilight. The facade is adorned with intricate carvings and vines, emphasizing the elegance of the establishment. The windows on the upper floor are bathed in a warm light that shimmers through delicate curtains.
