Chapter 23

* Mackenzie's POV*

" Where were you?" My mum asked me, folding her arms. I looked down and replied, " I went out to get some fresh air."

She glared at me and asked, " You were out with Louis, weren't you?" I sighed and nodded. She scoffed, " You need to marry a prince." My eyes widened and I gasped, " But mum!! I love Louis!!"

She shook her head and replied coldly, " You don't know what love is." My jaw dropped. I then replied, " You don't even know what love is yourself." She sighed, " Go to bed now. You're grounded until your birthday, and you will marry a prince whether you like it or not."

I felt tears prickle in my eyes as I rushed upstairs and knocked on Sam's door. I heard some muffling in her room and then after a minute or two, Sam came to the door and opened it. She then asked, " Are you okay sis?" I shook my head and hugged her, burying my head into her shoulder. She rubbed my back and she allowed me into her room.

" What happened? Did Louis do something?" She asked as I sat on the bed next to her. I shook my head and wiped away a few tears. " No. Mum caught me as soon as I entered the door. She found out about me and Louis and she doesn't want me with him! She said that I'm gonna marry a prince whether I like it or not. I wanna marry Louis! Not some prince who's trying to look good in front of mum. I mean Louis acts like himself around mum." I replied.

Sam tensed and she said, " Mum is so inconsiderate. She thinks she's doing something good for her daughters, she's doing it for herself. Thank god dad is allowing us to marry who we want to marry. I mean, it's dad who has to bless the marriage, not mum." I nodded.

" Ya. Dad loves the boys. He thinks that they would be perfect for us and all of England." I replied, sniffling. Sam nodded and replied, " It's really dad who needs to stay on our side in order for you to marry the right man." I nodded and then a question came into my head, " Wait... Sam... why is it me? Not you?" I asked her.

A light blush rose on her cheeks. She then said, " Um. Dad already blessed mine and Harry's marriage..." My jaw dropped and I squealed, " OMG!!! CONGRATS SAM!!!!!!!" She giggled as I hugged her tightly and she hugged back. Then.. I noticed something with Sam.

" Um.. Sam. This is Harry's shirt that he was wearing earlier today.." I told her. She blushed to a deeper shade of red. I think I just threw up a little in my mouth. " You better not have." I said, giving her a little glare. Sam shook her head and said, " We didn't do it... we might've done a little, but I'm still a virgin."

Yep, I did throw up a little in my mouth. I then sighed, " Harry.. come out of the closet." I then heard Harry say, " There is no Harry only Zuel." ( A/N if you get that reference... you're my new best friend. 😂) Sam laughed and replied, " Don't be ashamed Harry." I laughed as Harry came out of the closet.

Harry gave me a look and said, " Shut up." I stuck my tongue out at him and he stuck his tongue out at me. I giggled and Sam rolled her eyes, smiling. Harry sighed and sat down next to Sam. " So you guys are getting married? When's the date?" I asked. Sam and Harry shrugged, " We're still deciding if it should be Valentine's Day, or maybe sometime during the summer." Harry said. I nodded. Sam then asked, " How about if you get married? When do you want it?"

I shrugged and said, " Maybe like in the winter." Sam nodded in agreement. " So.. I kinda sorta eavesdropped and I heard that your mum doesn't want you to marry Louis?" Harry asked. I nodded and said, " Ya. She just thinks that she knows what's best for me, when it's not."

Harry nodded and said, " Well. I'm just the king of eavesdropping today because I heard your mum talking to someone earlier today, and she said that she was forced to marry your guys father, and she said, she wants to force one of you guys to get married. And since your the only one not engaged, your mum is trying to force your marriage." My jaw dropped, same as Sam's.

Harry sat there.. staring back at us as we stared at him, " What!? Why would she do that!?!?!" I yelled, but quietly so I didn't wake my parents. Harry shrugged. My sadness and confusion, just turned into pure anger. " I'm gonna marry whoever I want, whether she likes it or not." I growled. Sam scooted away from me towards Harry, " She's scary when she's mad."
