Thomas B. Melrose believes that everyone in the world can be put into two groups, in every situation, ever. He watches the world from a distance, dissecting and organizing everything he sees. He's never really belonged, and now his world is changing. Coming home, to a new, real, permanent home, is something Thomas has no experience with.
In three months, Thomas manages to come in, make some friends, fall for the girl he can't have, and tear everyones' lives apart, including his own.
