they say time heals everything, but medkit knew it wasn't true. not because of some philosophical bullshit, but because time never healed any of his emotional scars.hell, it was stupid, being in his thirty's and being unable to breath at the slightest reminder of his past mistakes.
The slightest reminder of that pink demon staring back at him with not a single ounce of sympathy, his eyes glowing pink in the dark with what he could recall as 'rage' as he stared back at the deers squirming body shaking with fear.
It was rather silly to him, it had been years, yet the memories haunted him even in his waking hours. He had no choice but to simply try to ignore them, as the world wouldn't stop spinning for him.
In the other hand, his current life was just as miserable as his past. Living paycheck to paycheck in a small apartment, having to take multiple phights to make ends meet, how worse could it get, really?
Many accumulated thoughts kept rushing back to the deers mind every sometime, even now, he was just laying down on that old couch shaking as always and feeling his legs go numb from them hanging on from the edge of the couch.
Sure, he could move and do something, but what? What could help him get through this? Wh—
RING.
... that's a way to go about it.
Medkit raised his head higher enough to look at his door for a quiet second, as if he didn't know there was a door to begin with.
He paused, realizing he had forgotten about inviting Ban Hammer over an hour prior with nothing set in mind. Maybe an hour ago he wanted him here... but right now, why would anyone want Ban around? He was so insensitiv—
RING.
Med Kit was snapped out of his thoughts by the loud ring and audible scoff outside his door, quickly getting up to open it and tell Ban to go away.
Once he was close enough he quickly opened up the door, staring at the figure behind it.As always... the warden had a frown on his face and a stylish cotton coat to protect him from the cold. Not like he even needed a jacket to begin with, nor with those muscles at least.
"About time you let me in. Christ, it's freezing out there, have you been out?" He scoffed, shoving his way into the apartment and throwing his coat on whatever surface he could find.
Med Kit and Ban Hammer had a rather... interesting relationship, to say the least. It wasn't anything serious, it started off with Ban Hammer sizing him up whenever he would treat his wounds after phights. After some time it turned into casual make-outs merely because it was convenient to a certain extent. Sure! Medkit was a criminal and all, but who cares about that, right?
The deer stared at the wardens back for a second as he moved around the apartment before he picked up the coat and threw it back at the warden.
"You need to leave." said the deer, trying to maintain whatever composure he had left.
"Huh? what did I do this time, why so angry?" questioned the warden, catching his coat and glaring at the deer with an almost offended smile, leaning back into the couch Medkit was previously miserably laying on, making it look ten times smaller.
"Nothing, I just can't have you here today." Replied Med Kit, looking down at the warden with an almost apologetic frown.
there was a small pause as the warden stared at the doctor for a good second, then closed the silence.
"Is this about that guy? your ex or whatever, is this about him, again?" spoke the warden, with a dismissive tone and a slight frown that was visible even through the blind fold.
