Chapter 3 Kat

Kat's pov:

-Where are we going?
-It's a surprise,we are almost there
I didn't tell Alex,but the horse ride was not that bad. With the horses, we were now in the woods close to the farm.
-Since when do you know my aunt?
-We have always been neighbors and my mother was close friends with your aunt when they were younger.
-They aren't anymore? I asked sarcastic
-My mother died when I was three
-I'm sorry... I didn't know
He looked straight ahead, I know it was not to face me.
-It's fine, I was young I don't remember her much...We are here!
I looked around and it was beautiful! He had brought me to a small, closed lake in the middle of trees. Around the water were big rocks and at my left was water streaming in between them. Alex and I got off of the horses and he tied their ropes around a big tree.
-I thought you would like this place
-What made you think that?
-All the girls I brought love this place, he said doing his usual side grin.
I was stunned by what he said.
-I'm kiding, no girl has ever came here exept our mothers and your aunt.
-Oh, I thought you were serious.
He smiled and untied a rope from around a tree next to us. He took off his t-shirt, grabed the rope and threw himself in the lake making me get splashed with water. Even if I didn't want to I couldn't help but laugh which made Alex smile and join my laughter. He threw the rope back at me and told me to jump. At first I hesitated but decided to go before he pushed me in the water. I grabbed hold of the rope and jumped in. When I fell in the water Alex camed close to me. He looked straight in my eyes and we said nothing. All we could here was the sound of the water streaming and the faint sound of the wind. He came closer and I slowly put my hand around his neck. With my other hand I kept it in the water and splashed him in the face. I don't think that's what he expected! I laughed and it took him a moment to realize what I had done. We then started splashing ourselves and laughing. When we thought we should get going me and Alex got out of the water. Luckily he had towels with him because I was starting to get cold.
-You know what we should do Kat?
-No what?
-We should pick some mushrooms for your aunt, she makes the best mushroom tarts you'll ever eat!
So we went walking in the forest around the lake to find the musherooms and we found a few. After that we got our horses and went back home.

When we got back home it was only five passed three and aunt Abby hadn't started dinner.
-Oh you brought me back mushrooms! Where did you get them?
-Kat and I picked them around the lake
-I'll make some mushroom tarts tonight , would you like to stay for diner?
-Thanks for asking but I have to help my father tonight.
-Okay then good evening Alex and say hi to your father
As soon as Alex left I went into my room and wrote all about today, because it was the best day I had passed since a very long time.
