Last Time:

Those final words left behind an awkward silence as Sirius contemplated everything that just happened ...

Moody returned to the Grimmauld Place, "Idiots better be done fucking-" The retired Auror paused when he saw a miffed Remus sipping tea at the kitchen table and gave an amused snort. "Where's the horn dog?"

"In the doghouse." Remus said bluntly, admitting that there was a bit of discourse between the two. "A letter from Lucius Malfoy arrived and Sirius threw a massive tantrum. I'm sick of this attitude so I left the room, but I heard him screaming about 'cunning Malfoy trying to trick him' and something about Malfoy trying to tell him that there was never a house elf named Dobby in the Malfoy manor. After that something was said about Harry being someone else. Sirius didn't believe any of it. I find it far-fetched, but never actually saw the letter. Nothing sounded reasonable, but it still pissed him off ... I'm not going back up right now." Remus muttered as he sipped his tea.

"Where's the letter? I don't want the drama pixie to kick up a fuss." The Auror grumbled in annoyance.

Remus sighed, "I heard him crumple it up and toss it in the upstairs hall."

Moody scoffed, "The house elf won't bother so I'll go get it. I'm curious to see what pissed him off enough to bite you."

The Auror limped casually up the steps with his fake leg being louder than the other. Moody got upstairs and immediately noticed that Sirius' bedroom door was shut. The huffy wizard was probably asleep inside or sulking. For safety he confirmed hat Sirius wouldn't wake up and come out by using a spell to seal the door shut for a moment.

The Auror's fake eye already spotted the crumpled ball lying in plain sight. With calm steps he went over to it. However, the way his hands flicked the wand at the ball to make it fly to him and how the hands impatiently opened the ball revealed that Moody wasn't as calm as he looked. In fact, he looked very serious as his eyes skimmed the letter carefully.

Read through.

Something is very wrong here. Harry was found, but only because his blood matched that of another person. We have him. He doesn't trust us because I tried to kill him, which isn't true! It doesn't add up.

Ask Kreacher. That elf stays in contact with Narcissa and knows our house elves. I never had a house elf named Dobby.

Please, talk to the Order. We'll send memories once you ask.

Lucius Malfoy

Moody smirked. He knew the letter was worded poorly. If Lucius didn't say 'We have him' then maybe Sirius' temper wouldn't have gone haywire. However, this gave the Auror an idea and it could easily work since Sirius probably didn't remember the exact details thanks to his angry tantrum. With a few flicks of his wand the words subtly changed ...

In a few seconds and a few tiny changes the letter became far more threatening ...

Something is very wrong here.

Harry's location was found while we were searching for someone else. He's safe for now. However, I no longer have a house elf, Dobby, because of him so we'll be discussing payment and punishment through Kreacher.

We'll send you memories of the demands or we'll just have to go pick him up.

Lucius Malfoy

Moody smirked at his handy work. He checked the letter once more before removing the spell he put on Sirius' door. With that done he reverted back to looking grumpy and finally limped back down to the werewolf.
