I walked down the catwalk, smiling as people clapped and took pictures of me in my dress. I made my way back to the backstage, and the curtain fell, blocking the audience's view. My heart was pounding in my chest from the adrenaline coursing through my veins. Then, I saw Addie running towards me, yelling in excitement. "You did it, Alexandria! I knew you could. You probably shocked the world with that sexy dress," she said, smirking at me as she let go of the hug. I nervously nodded my head, blushing, and we both laughed. We walked back to the dressing room so I could change and grab my things. If only I knew what my future had in store for me after this show, I wouldn't even believe the person telling me or showing me because it truly did change everything...

(Now onto chapter 3.)

One year later....

as i walked into my office,

Yes, you heard it right, my office! I couldn't believe it either, but it turns out my dress was a hit at the fashion show. I started to gain recognition, and many designers called me up so that I could create some clothes for them and be a part of their companies, with a substantial amount of money as well.

However, Adam Rocks offered me a deal of a lifetime, and of course, I took it. The contract states that if I ever want to leave for whatever reason, I can break the contract whenever I want. But I don't want to leave because I love it here, and I have my own clothing line! It's called Lexie's Designs, and so far, I've managed to create many designs.

Also, Addie and I are friends. She even knows my brother and has asked to meet the rest of the band. We have yet to meet them since they are always busy with tour preparations or writing songs, but we will see them before the end of the year.

As I mentioned before, I'm in my office, working on designs for my clothing line. I'm preparing for the summer, spring, fall, and winter collections. Did I mention the company is located in New York? I get fantastic views from my office. I'm so excited that I look out of my huge window every day, even at night, because I love it. As I got lost in my work, I heard a ding from my phone. It was a notification from my friend/pen pal. We've been talking for over a year now. He's always busy with something but manages to talk to me. Hopefully, we can meet soon. He even knows I'm searching for my dad. All I'm doing is trying to find a way to contact him, tell him the story, and hopefully, I can connect with him and find my brother as well. I don't even know if he's looking for me.

Ever since I left, my foster family blew up from what my brother said. They sold just about everything of mine and have stated never to come back. My brother saw their true colors, and so he's not in contact with them anymore. I, however, live by myself at the age of nineteen in a lovely apartment that I bought with the money I got from the fashion show. It's my dream apartment, and I love it, even though it gets lonely. I do wish for a boyfriend someday, hopefully soon.

I think to myself as I finish up the final designs and send them off to the fabric and sewing department. They already have the fabrics I ordered for the designs; they just didn't have the designs until now. I then sigh. All that hard work took me forever to make it perfect. I then look at the time and realize I'm starving. I head downstairs to the restaurant next door, which has amazing food, and place my order for a bacon chicken burger and a side salad.

As I wait, I scroll to my Instagram message my pen pal sent me and see that he's doing good. He's showing me pics of the places he gets to go to for work, and we just talk, basically see how one another is doing. Sometimes we talk on the phone a little before he has to sleep or work, vice versa for me. I grab my food and head upstairs to my office, where I have a giant bean bag and a large TV. I can take my lunch break for the day because I'm done with work today. I've already gone to many meetings today and even helped Adam. We are heading to Italy for the next show for the winter collection of his and my designs, which is coming up pretty soon, and I can't wait.
