Michelles POV

As I was sitting at the bench patiently waiting a familiar woman noticed me the moment we both lay eyes on each other through the crowd of people at the oval. "Michie??" Max approached me as i stood up from the bench, "Max???" I smile and pulled her in for a hug. I could feel her peck my shoulders and melt onto my arms so i pulled her in for a tighter hug.
As we slowly pulled away we switched moods and squealed jumping up and down while our hands were tied together. "ATE MAXXX I MISSED YOU SO MUCH WHAT BRINGS YOU HERE!"
"Here for a while cause of work you know how it is"  Max squealed as they exchange words for a few minutes.

"I've gotta go Michelle someone's waiting for me, we'll catch up another time" Max smiled softly and pulled me into another hug. "Bye ate i'll see you soon!" I greeted back.

As i sat down the bench i noticed Anntonia still hasn't got back, i pulled my phone out to text her but instead as i open my phone my heart pounded when i had a text notification from her.

I went home.

I worried as what made her bail out last second so i decided to give her a call. I pressed the call button and placed my phone by my ear waiting for her to answer—which she did in the second to the last ring.

"Hello?" She answered "Why'd you left? Is everything alright?" I rambled "I was just tired..." silence took over for a few seconds until she decided to speak. "look Michelle— I don't think this is gonna work out. We should stop seeing each other"

My heart skipped a beat in a bad way when she spitted those words out. "Is this a rejection?" I replied shortly "I'm sorry Michelle—" "why? Why so sudden? We were okay a minute ago i don't get why you're saying this out of the blue there must be an explanation—" i asked with confusion in my voice as i spoke which she cut me off. "I saw you with another girl Michelle. You're not as slick as you think you are Dee... I'm just gonna tell you this now before you do the same thing to any other girls—what you're doing right now isn't nice. You shouldn't make playing with peoples feelings a sport cause it hurts Michelle, I don't know why people like you think it's okay but it's not! So get your brain out your butt and think about what you're doing's impact on people." She took a moment to breathe then continued. "Goodbye Michelle. Don't ever contact me ever again." And with that she hung up. I tried calling her multiple times after that but she refused to answer me.

Anntonias POV

I put my phone down after the call. I didn't know how to react after all that—I mean i'm glad i finally spoke my truth and backed away before things get too complicated but i knew i already stooped too low even if i hated to admit it. I already had feelings for Michelle and i knew that. I wanted her to barge in my door and assure me everything i saw was far from the truth even though it was near impossible. Though I know i did the right thing i can't help but still feel hurt.

I layed in bed tucking myself in bed ignoring my phone as it rang for another hundredth time. There was no point in checking who was calling since it was so obviously Michelle so i put my phone on Do Not Dosturb and sighed grabbing my extra pillow as i cuddled with it trying to rest after a long day.

It was monday morning and i was headed to first period, on the way someone nudged my shoulder while running making me drop my bag considering i was only wearing it on one hand. I groaned as i went to pick it up and hang it on both my arms this time.

I took two steps. Two steps

"Hey" i heard a very familiar voice call out

I slowly turn around facing the one and only. Michelle Dee

I have been overthinking our last interaction and hoped and prayed i wouldn't have to face her too soon but i guess fate wasn't on my side. When has fate ever been on my side anyways i thought.

"Can we talk?" She gulped
"I'm running late. Maybe next time" i coldly reply then tried to turn around but then felt her latch onto my arm making me face her again.
"I don't care we need to talk Anntonia." She glared at me "There's nothing to talk about Michelle" "god can't you listen for once? I'm trying to enlighten you with what happened here!" She scoffed.
"You have 5 minutes" I clenched my jaw while she led into an empty hallway.

We stopped and faced each other as she sighed and started off the conversation.
"It wasn't what you think"
"Then what was it. Stop wasting my time Michelle and get straight to the point" i said with a straight face "look..." she looked down and back at me again
"The girl you probably saw me hugging with yesterday was my friend. Her name's Max, she's like a big sister to me it's just been a long time since we reunited and that was all— if you want proof i can show you our texts and everything! I'll even call
her—" i felt so stupid to assume things right away after she explained. This is embarrassing i thought though you can't blame me.

"It's okay Dee i get it, i saw what i saw and twisted the meaning of your actions and i'm sorry for jumping to conclusions. You can't really blame me, i've had my experience with people like you and knowing you or you used to be a player isn't really that assuring but still."
"Wait—what do you mean people like me? I'm not a player?? Who told you that? I've only been in a few relationships i don't know what you're talking about—though if you're referring to articles about me then i assure you it's all bullshit i swear! Paparazzi take any chance they get to see with another girl walking side by side and post it as 'Michelle Marquez new girl' or whatever even if i was just grabbing lunch with my friends.." she tried assuring me woth worried eyes while slowly holding my left hand.

"Gosh this is stupid" i giggled looking down on my feet taking in on how stupid this all was.
"You've been pretty hard on me Ann, I say you make it up to me by going golfing with me" Michelle smiled convincingly "whatever, I'm late for class thanks to you" i rolled my eyes smiling then turned around to walk the opposite direction but then i felt the urge to turn around. And as i did that i held my hands together at my back and sprinted slowly back to Michelle to give her a quick peck on my cheek. "Bye" i smiled and ran off.
