Today was going pretty smoothly until around halfway, alarms were going off all over the facility, and the man in the mask told me we were being attacked, and asked me if I'd rather fight or hide. I responded with
"Well, I don't know! Are they really dangerous?"
The man in the mask nodded his head to this question, and seemed like he was going to go either way, if I went or not. I had no idea what we were up against, so I rejected the offer. The man in the mask told me to hide in the safe in the downstairs area, so after a while of searching I found it, and hid. After about half an hour I heard a lot of gunshots coming from outside, and tried to make as little noise as possible. Suddenly, I heard an explosion, and someone yelling
"We're here!"
I didn't think it was any allies, since they blew up the door. After they were searching around the safe for about another 15 minutes, I saw there was a clear path to outside of the safe, and ran for it, without being spotted at all. I ran past many of my comrades' bodies, but continued running, nonetheless. I ran for so long until I felt completely exhausted, until someone asked me
"Need a hand?"
It was the man in the mask! His hand was outstretched for me to take, and I gladly took it with a smile, knowing if anyone could help me, it would be him.
"So, where are we even going after we get out of here?"
The man in the mask didn't give an answer, just looked kinda disappointed, so I asked
"Is there really nowhere else to go?"
"Well, nowhere near here."
He responded. Suddenly, I heard a loud bang come from behind us, and the man in the mask fell to the ground.
