Ayumu Uehara and I were two different human beings. On the outside we seemed extremely similar.

She was an up and coming idol who was looking to make a name for herself.

I was an up and coming idol who was looking to make a name for myself.

To the idol audience it appeared like we were the exact same person.

Our target audience was the same: mostly high school students. For her it was mostly males. For me it was mostly females.

I remember my manager asked me if I wanted to talk to her, seeing as we were the same age, sang the same type of music, and had the same audience.

I sort of laughed at that idea.

"If we're bound to meet then it'll happen eventually. Plus, if I do go meet her I might not be ready to meet my 'double.'" I replied sarcastically.

Of course I say that, but I remember being holed in my room that night getting ready to watch her livestream.

Okay okay okay, I'm sorry for lying so far. I know I'm pretending to act like I don't want to meet her, but in reality I do.

In fact I'm her biggest fan.

My manager has always billed me as a guy who was built for this industry because my name means "the one who shines." That's how the media thinks I got into becoming an idol.

In reality, it was Ayumu Uehara.

But this was way before she became an idol, and even before she became a school idol at Nijigasaki.

In fact I have another confession to make... I don't need to meet Ayumu Uehara... I already have.

And the story for that is kind of pathetic.

In middle school, I wasn't a star. I wasn't a guy who could confidently stand in front of a crowd.

I wasn't the Kazuki Fujiimoto many people know today.

In fact my name wasn't even Kazuki Fujiimoto at the time, my mother remarried and only then did I change my name.

At the time, I was a bit of a nerd. Wore glasses, didn't have many friends, you know typical nerd things.

While others went to the arcades with after school I was in the library most days. Not because I was a big reader, but because it was the only spot in the school where I could avoid other people.

I would hide in a corner all by myself knowing that nobody would ever find me there.

Except there was always one girl who would find me.

She would stop by at the same time everyday.

Ayumu Uehara...

The first time she entered the library I ignored her. After all, she was probably only there to check out a book or something.

But next thing I knew she sat right across from me at my table and grinned.

"I found you." she said smiling warmly. "I'm Ayumu Uehara, we're in the same class. We were assigned as partners for a group project! I'll be in your care."

This was my first encounter with Ayumu Uehara.

That was before you were mine...

Here's the first chapter of five. Since you all liked the Kanan story I'm bringing you all Ayumu after a vote! Hopefully people will read this story too lol.

But if they don't it's fine...

This story is pretty much set in the past and the characters are going to reflect on their memories bit by bit.

Anyways hopefully you'll all stick around for the rest of the story!
