Quick side note before you read. I know Tasia had a daughter with her.. husband, but he is not important and why make a child suffer for this love to come to life? So, let's act like they never had a child. Happy reading! :)

Is that me

Who's floating away?

Lifted up

To the clouds

By your kiss

Never felt

Nothing like this...

The song played in the background as Taraji drove. She would be lying if she said she didn't miss Fantasia, but she broke her heart. She never expected to get so attached, but it happened. It happened, and it was all one sided.

Taraji turned her radio off, growing angry. That song used to be her happy place, but now it was a reminder of her past. Yeah, Fantasia was the past now. Especially after her last interview. The interviewer asked if there was anything going on between her and Taraji, and of course she denied. That wasn't a surprise. She always has to protect her family. Maybe Taraji didn't have a right to be mad, but oh well. She felt the way she felt, and her feelings were not going to change.

Suddenly, Taraji's phone rang. When she saw the caller ID, she quickly declined the call. It was Fantasia, she had been calling almost everyday, and she was very close to blocking her. She had nothing to say to her.

-

Fantasia sighed, another unanswered call. She was silently struggling as well. She felt terrible about how things ended with Taraji, but she couldn't just walk away from her husband. Despite their unspoken love they had for each other, Taraji was truly Fantasia's best friend. They had grown so close during The Color Purple, and now they were no contact.

Them being apart allowed Fantasia to think deeply about her feelings for Taraji.

Was it love, or lust?

Of course it was love. She didn't have to ask herself that.

But how deep is this love?

Was it deep enough to walk away from her husband.

Damn that man.

He was not an important figure in her life. He meant nothing to her, at least not as much as Taraji.

Fantasia continued to sip her wine as she thought, music playing softly in the background that only made her think of Taraji even more.

Will you be

My light

In the storm?

Will I see a new world

In your eyes?

Withyou

My whole

Spiritrise...

Tasia felt the tears falling down her cheeks, her heart heavy. She didn't even notice that her husband had walked into the house.

"Tasia." He tapped her, causing her to jump, "I didn't mean to scare you. Are you okay?"

"Yea, I'm okay."

"You're crying baby, what's goin on?"

"I'm in love with someone else, and I don't know if I even love you anymore."

She wouldn't dare say that out loud though, "I'm fine, I promise."

"I don't believe you, but I won't push the issue. Can I sit with you?"

Fantasia shook her head, scooting over. Kendall sat down, placing his arm around her. For some reason, she instantly felt uncomfortable. It's like he wasn't her husband, and some strange man had just touched her.

"Stop it Tasia, this is your husband." She thought to herself, "I have to go out of town again next week, the cast is doing a little get together."

"Okay, What day?"

"Thursday, I believe."

"Alright baby. You know I'm so proud of you. This whole process you have grown as a person, and I am so grateful that I was able to watch you grow." Kendall smiled at his wife, his eyes filled with love.

Fantasia tried her best not to show her frustration. She returned the smile, hoping the awkward moment would pass.

Unfortunately it did not, and only got worse. Kendall crashed his lips into hers. It was slow at first, but he deepened the kiss, forcing his tongue into her mouth.

As much as she wanted to pull away, she didn't, giving in to his gentle touch.

Thursday quickly came, and Fantasia was so glad to leave. She didn't know how much longer she would've lasted at home with her husband. He wanted to be around her all the time and it was extremely aggravating. She was tired of hiding her feelings, and honestly really needed this break.

As much as she loved her cast, she was mainly going to see Taraji. It had been weeks since they spoke, and everytime she tried to reach out she was ignored.

As the cast said their hello's to each other, Taraji and Fantasia kept their distance. No one really noticed, except for Danielle, but she didn't say anything. Fantasia attempted to say hi, but Taraji just turned around and gave her attention to someone else.

"Oh, Miss.Celie!" Oprah exclaimed as she walked into the restaurant.

Fantasia rushed over and tightly embraced her. She quickly glanced at Taraji, and saw that her frustration had just doubled.

Of course it did, her arch nemesis just walked in and there was nothing she could do about it.

As the evening went on, the tension grew at the table. Oprah constantly throwing shade Taraji, and her smiling her pain away.

Fantasia tried everything to get Taraji's attention, but she was not successful. Eventually, she just  got up and went to the bathroom, and of course Fantasia was right behind her.

"Taraji." She said softly, as she walked in.

Taraji rolled her wet eyes, trying her best not to break down.

"I know, she's been bothering you all night. She's just trying to get under your skin."

"Yeah, just like you are." Taraji snapped, her voice harsh.

"I just want to talk to you. I wanted to apologize, but you won't even look at me."

"Why would I? Please let me know, because last time I checked, we had nothing to do with each other anymore."

"Raji.. I-. I love you. I know that I hurt you, but I didn't mean to. I know what I want now, or at least I think I do."

"That's not good enough, Fantasia. You can't just think. You need to know for sure. Him, or me? And as long as that ring is on your finger, your choice is him."

Taraji brushed past Fantasia, but she stopped her. They held eye contact for a few seconds, and out of nowhere Fantasia leaned in for a kiss.

Their lips touched, and a spark grew between them. They fitted perfectly, like a puzzle piece. The kiss deepened, and Taraji placed her hands on Fantasia's face. In that moment all their problems disappeared, and it was just them left in the world.

When Fantasia finally snapped out of her daze, Taraji was gone. And her lips were left feeling empty.
