〖 IMPURE REALM - QINGHE NIE CLAN 〗
────────────────────
The Impure Realm loomed as the formidable bastion of the Qinghe Nie Clan, a colossal structure emanating an aura of severity and darkness that transcended its appearance from a mere palace to a fortress. This imposing edifice served as an apt reflection of the tremendous strength and power commanded by the esteemed Qinghe Nie Clan. As the group traversed the grounds, they found themselves amidst the hustle and bustle of disciples engaged in rigorous training, their fervent hollers and battle cries resonating through the air. To shed light on the situation, Meng Yao offered an explanation. "These are the newly deployed junior disciples. Your brother set them up. Clan Leader Nie strengthened them after receiving Wen Clan's message," he conveyed. Nie Huaisang sought clarification, prompting Meng Yao to expound further. "You might not be aware yet, but Clan Leader Wen has recently delivered a message. He plans to host a grand Discussion Conference, urging, or rather demanding, the participation of numerous clans. On that afternoon, there is slated to be an archery competition involving junior members from the Five Great Clans." Nie Huaisang let out a groan, a quiet expression of his internal dismay. Nie Huaisang expressed his discontent and hesitance to partake in the archery competition.
[Y/n] wrinkled her brows. 'I don't think I have a choice in the matter. Lan Qiren would most likely insist that I join the competition. It seems that Clan Leader Wen's message carries a certain level of authority and expectation. I suppose we will have to prepare ourselves for the upcoming event, whether we like it or not.' At that moment, they heard a deep voice ahead. "What is it?" With his impeccable timing, the Nie Mingjue Clan Leader of the Qinghe Nie Clan made a sudden appearance. [Y/n] looked up at the sound of the voice and saw a man approaching. When Nie Huaisang saw Clan Leader Nie, his face went pale, and whatever he was going to say was lost. "Clan Leader," they bowed. There, rooted in the heart of the chamber, stood Clan Leader Nie, a semblance to the aged oaks of yore—unbending and sheer. His skin bore the toil of years like a map of storied battles, each line a narrative in itself, whilst his eyes, flinty and profound, carried the weight of his station with a silence as pronounced as the mountain peaks that were home to his kin. Towering at a height of 191 cm, Nie Mingjue commanded a formidable presence. His narrow waist and broad shoulders sculpted a physique that countless men might envy. Sharp eyes and a subtle curl at the corners of his lips hinted at a ghostly sneer.
"This is the Red Blade Master. He lives up to his name." Jiang Cheng whispered discreetly to Wei Wuxian. Wei Wuxian snorted in response, acknowledging the aptness of the moniker. "No wonder Huaisang is afraid of his brother most," he remarked with a hint of amusement, finding the situation rather entertaining. "Huaisang, care to share what you were mentioning?" Nie Mingjue's voice resonated with a subtle impatience, prompting a hushed silence that shifted all attention towards Huaisang. Stammering momentarily, Huaisang finally managed to utter, "Nothing." Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng exchanged amused glances, aware of Huaisang's nervous disposition. They understood that his fear of his brother was well-founded, as Nie Huaisang's imposing presence had the potential to instill trepidation in anyone. [Y/n] sighed, maintaining a watchful gaze on Nie Mingjue while intermittently stealing glances at Wei Wuxian's humorous expression. Her brows furrowed, and a snort escaped her as she observed the unfolding scene. Nie Mingjue, with a resigned sigh, repositioned himself to face Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian. "Young Master Jiang. Young Master Wei. Xichen told me that the two young masters of Yunmeng are teenage heroes. Now I see that you deserve that reputation. "A glint of amusement flashed in Wei Wuxian's and Jiang Cheng's eyes as they exchanged subtle smirks. Turning to Lan Wangji, Nie Mingjue inquired, "Wangji, is everything okay with your brother?" Lan Wangji bowed his head, offering a nod. "Thank you for your concern. He is alright," he replied softly.
