ned and peter walked through the door, looking around.

they then spotted alex standing by mj.

"can't believe you're at this lame party." mj spoke up.

"but you're here too." ned replied.

"am i?" she raised her eyebrows.

"yes, you are, and it would be a shame if you weren't." alex replied with a smile.

peter looked between the two.

"just know, we accept you guys." ned nodded.

mj and alex looked at each other and then back to ned.

"what're you talking about?" mj questioned.

"i thought you guys were...i mean you're a lesbian and mj is definitely not straight, so..." ned trailed off.

"are you saying that just because i'm a lesbian i date every girl i'm friends with?" alex raised her eyebrows.

"and assuming my sexuality just because of the vibes i give off?" mj added.

"n-no, i—well kinda. i don't know, but you guys would be a great couple. i actually encourage it." ned nodded.

peter sighed. "you're just digging yourself into a deeper hole, ned."

mj let out a small laugh and alex shook her head with a smile.

"come on, let's go find rose." alex said.

"k." mj nodded and followed alex off.

just as they left, rose came down a corridor to the side with a drink in her hand.

"peter! ned! hey!" rose exclaimed and jogged up to them.

"hey, rose." ned smiled.

"h-hi." peter stammered, looking her up at down.

she was wearing a pink, short sleeve dress that was slightly tight on her with a cropped white jacket over it.

"what? did i get something on me? i hope not, this dress is new." rose said after noticing peter staring.

her body looked so beautiful in that dress. he always thought her body was beautiful. everything about her was beautiful. but i'm that moment, she looked as beautiful as ever.

was he falling for his best friend?

no

he couldn't be.

it was wrong.

but what it felt so, so right.

"no, there's nothing. you just look—you're so beaut—i like that pink color." peter stuttered.

rose raised her eyebrows.

was peter about to call her beautiful?

did he think she looked beautiful?

she didn't even have that much makeup on either so he must've thought she was beautiful all-natural. not that it mattered, but still.

she smiled. "thanks. i do too. i love pink."

peter cracked a smile as well. "i know. pink has always been your color."

"and it always will be." she added.

peter let out a little laugh and looked her up and down.

"i like your little plaid shirt. it's so you. obviously in a good way." she complimented.

"it's always been me." he replied.

"and it always will be." she winked.

the both laughed and ned huffed.
