Today's quick tip is; Don't skip things!
So basically, don't skip past things, especially time. Let's be honest, we have all considered just saying 'one year later' and we have all been frustrated when someone else does it. That's because in most cases it's just lazy! If you can't be bothered to write out what happened in that year, or week or whatever period of time or event you skipped, then why are you writing to begin with? Remember, writing takes time and effort!
(I'm not saying all time skips are bad, often they are useful, necessary, interesting or clever!)
