Y/n POV
A month away from my debut, all things were hell. From the time of my practice to the photoshoots I went in, recording sessions that took forever to finish. Yeah, it's fun. Though it's hard on my end, I will trust the saying 'the first step is the hardest' which is incredibly true since you're still feeling and grasping that comfortable spot.
For me to focus on my debut, the company handed a letter of excuse to my school and that meant no Jiheon in the meantime. Also, this debut thing is taking a toll on me. What would you feel if you just practiced a lot, hearing the same music over and over again, with a hint of anxiety inside you? Seems harsh.
But enough of that, we need to live in the life. Right now, I'm with Joshua sunbaenim or hyung cause he said he feels old when called sunbaenim, one of the handsome guys in the group Seventeen, a group with 13 handsome members.
"Okay Y/n, I need to see the flare within you. The dance itself is nice, but the facial expressions and little movements can impact your dance big time," Joshua hyung said to which I nodded.
Using counts and beats to further clean every detail in my dance, I started dancing again while counting. The big mirror in front of me reflects my movements and the sound of the hardwood floor echoes in the room every step I take. Continuing my dance, Joshua hyung clapped making me stop and look at him.
"You dance very well Y/n but again, I'm finding that flare," Joshua hyung said and I whined since I couldn't understand what I was missing.
"I did what you asked," I sulked making hyung giggle and pat my head
"I know that it's frustrating, but you will discover it yourself, maybe in the future? Who knows, but since we have a few minutes left, I want you to continue no matter how hard okay? The debut is not the goal here, it's just the starting point. After you pass that line, the fight will be more intense so keep fighting and be strong in this new career of yours okay?" Joshua hyung said and I nodded determined as the new set of motivation flowed inside of me.
The clock in the practice room then rings, signaling that Joshua hyung's mentorship for me is finished. Looking at hyung, he patted my shoulder and smiled widely.
"I know you'll do well Y/n," Joshua hyung said which made me put at ease a little bit, knowing that there are always people who support me.
"I'll make you proud hyung!" With the combined power of happiness and eagerness, I accidentally shouted my response making hyung giggle at me. Not long after, Joshua hyung and I cleaned the room and separated our ways after saying our goodbyes, and went out of the practice room.
Now that I'm alone in this big building, the silence is eerie to me. Since I finished my schedule for this day, my mind has been calling for some coffee. Walking to the end of the hallway where the lifts are located, I pushed the button and the doors opened.
Entering the lift and pushing the floor where the cafeteria is located, the doors began to close until a voice echoed from the hall, making me push the open button. As doors open, behold the panting Kazuha with a tote bag.
"Sup Zuha-ssi? A storm came your way?" I asked and Zuha's eyes twinkled for some reason and the girl sighed in relief.
"More than a storm actually, ugh~," Zuha said and stumbled on me, making me catch the girl.
"Oi, are you alright?" I asked, concerned and Zuha nodded enthusiastically but the redness of her face told the opposite. Touching her forehead with the back of my hand, my thoughts have been proved. Zuha is sick.
"With your twinkling eyes, I can never think you are sick," I said and Zuha shook her head like a child, whining that she was not sick.
"You're boiling Zuha," I sternly said and the girl just pouted and slowly gave in.
