One Step Forward

Practicing alone in such a big practice room is making me feel intimidated. Maybe because big groups practiced here before? Or maybe because this is my first time in a huge practice room? Whatever it was, I just danced to what song that was being played by me.

Not even looking at the time, I just continued to practice to reach my goal of debuting on the world stage where the spotlight will be on me and showing my talents to everyone.

Now that I'm dancing, an idea popped into my mind. What if I danced to my seniors' songs?

But if that is the case, what song? Obviously, BTS and Seventeen sunbaenims are the groups that came to my mind first. Since HYBE has many artists under its name, I have many song choices to pick from. One of the benefits of a company with many artists.

Briefly stopping my practice, I went to the computer that is responsible for what music is playing and began to think about what music should I dance to.

Thinking hard on the corner of the room, I was so focused on picking a song that I didn't even notice that someone entered the practice room.

Feeling the stare from someone, I stopped scrolling and looked at my back to see a sunbae of mine, looking at me with her bright smile.

"Hi! I'm Hong Eunchae of Le Sserafim~ are you new? This is the first time I saw you," Eunchae sunbaenim said which made me smile.

"Hi, sunbaenim! I'm Kim Y/n, a former Starship Entertainment trainee who has been transferred to ADOR! Please treat me well!" I said with enthusiasm and bowed to show my respect.

Eunchae sunbaenim gasped but giggled after and waved her hands at me.

"Please just call me Eunchae~ also, you are older than me so should I call you Oppa?" Eunchae said which made me flustered. I mean, being with an idol you looked up to is with me is fluttering, but calling me oppa? Damn.

"I-I hehe. Your call Eunchae-ssi," I said while calming myself down. Hiding my embarrassment, Eunchae sat on the bench at the side of the room.

Went to the computer again and this time, Eunchae asked me.

"What song are you gonna dance to oppa?" Eunchae asked.

"I don't know, I was thinking about a song from the company," I answered.

"Then dance to ours then," Eunchae answered back.

"That could work~ hmm. I only know some of the choreo from Antifragile," I muttered.

"I can teach you oppa," Eunchae stood up.

"W-what? I-is that okay?" I stuttered.

"Yeah! I feel happy when someone is interested in our song," Eunchae said which made me smile.

"Then, please teach me well!" I said and Eunchae went near me and giggled.

"This will be my warm-up as well," Eunchae said and stretched.

"Oh? You also have a practice Eunchae-ssi?" I asked.

"Yeah~ it's two hours from now," Eunchae said.

"Two? Then why are you so early?" I looked at the clock on the wall.

"Hmmm, well I just want to maximize my time, also, practicing makes everything good so yeah," Eunchae said as she did the last routines of her stretching.

"I mean, you are right. Just don't overwork yourself Eunchae-ssi," I said, a little worried.

"I rest from time to time to let my body relax. Thanks for the concern oppa~," Eunchae said and showed me her cute bright smile.
