I have been fixated on this musical for the past month and I came up with this idea and wrote the outline and first chapter in two days which is very fast for me. The idea came mostly because I love Richie so much and I just want him to have a happy ending, ok? Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy and sorry about any spelling mistakes I wrote most of this at midnight.

Also Title may change because I don't really like it.

Stephanie sits at her desk slumped in her chair dreading the next 60 minutes of her life. When she walked into the classroom the desks were already arranged for the test. It's totally not like she didn't want to study, she couldn't! She was busy! And that guy on Twitter obviously didn't have a life. Stephanie taps her foot nervously on the tile floor thinking of a way to get out of this. She could fake sick but there's no way her Dad would buy that.

'I'm so fucking dead...'

Stephanie is pulled out of her thoughts when she notices the person sitting at the desk next to her. An idea came to her head, maybe she won't fail the test. The bell rings and Ms. Mulberry hands out the test paper to everyone. 20 minutes into the test and Stephanie hasn't even written down her name, she's starting to regret taking Biology. She only looks up from her paper when she notices the teacher leaving the room to speak to another faculty member. A few other people in the class notice this as well and begin to talk to their friends. She leans to the side and whispers to the guy sitting next to her. "Hey, hey geek!"

He looks up immediately. He looks at her weirdly before whispering back. "Me?" He questions pointing towards himself.

"Your name's Peter right?" Stephanie asks.

"Yeah..?" He answers unsure of why she was talking to him. He quickly looks around the room making sure no one is listening.

"Hi, Pete. We've been in classes together for a long time, haven't we?"

"Since the first grade."

"Exactly." Stephanie takes a look at the door to the classroom before continuing. "And I just realize that I've never introduced myself, I'm Stephanie."

"Lauter, the mayor's daughter, I know."

"But my friends call me Steph. We're friends aren't we Pete?"

"I don't know are we?" Peter questions.

"Well, I wouldn't advertise it to the whole school or anything. But there's an unspoken bond between us Pete. We're classmates, comrades, we're Nighthawks! Which means no one gets left behind."

"I got left behind this morning. The bus driver's a fucking asshole." Peter rolls his eyes at the thought as he continues writing on his test.

Stephanie hums. "Yeah, we succeed together or we fail together. And I won't mince words. I'm going to fail this test, Peter. Unless you help me cheat."

"Cheat!?"

"Come on, just finish your exam, pass it to me, and I'll put my name on it." Stephanie notices the hesitancy in his eyes. "I'll give you mine, you can take the whole test over again. Doesn't that sound fun?"

"Well, yeah. But won't we get in trouble?"

"Don't worry I do it all the time. Please Pete, don't you want to help me out?"

"Oh okay." Peter gives in and tries to pass his test to Stephanie but another voice interrupts them.

"Cheater!" The pair turn around in their chairs to see their classmate leading over her desk pointing at them. "Oh god, butt out, Chastity!" Stephanie hisses. Grace Chasitiy looks between the pair in disbelief. "Grace just be cool...!" Peter says in a hushed voice.
