Cet'anu was livid. How could he be so careless. From all possible habitants in this part of the jungle they ended up luring the only one thing he wasn't whiling to expose her to. The xyrargöd , were know for it's brutality and stench. How could he not notice the disgusting thing. He made sure to choose a territory far away from those fuckers and yet here he was. Less than one minute, it was all it took for him to almost lose her forever.
'Fuck' Cet'anu was so focused on keeping the Proboskis away from her that he failed to keep her safe from everything else.
When he left, she was about to meet the inoffensive Owllynx, a feline species know for its gentle and playful nature. 'Fuck!' The echoes of her terrified screams still lingered on his soul bringing waves of renewed rage.He had to control himself, she was in his arms now and nothing would hurt his human, not even him.
While he walked aimlessly, he basked in the felling of her against his body. It was weird. She was... Weird. How could she relax so easyly in his presence, didn't she know that he could end her existence with just a snap?
Why the idea of her looking at him with so much fear and despair made his blood run cold in his veins? Why did he cared ? She was just a mean to an end. Another way to bring honour to his name and clan. Why it pained him to see this little thing so...so... Broken?
This whole situation bothered him deeply. All these unknown feelings were creating havoc inside his brain. The vision of her bloodied body on that floor begging and pleading resurfaced in his mind making him almost loose his footing. For the hundredth time today he questioned what the actual fuck were the Ancients thinking?
Taking a very needed calming breath he changed directions. He knew she would be denied the opportunity to cleanse herself back at the camp and the idea of her smelling like anything else that wasn't Her displeased him deeply.
Walking towards a spring far away from everyone else he tried to remember the last time something went for his neck without the intention to kill him. Never, he concluded and yet this little human was face buried in his most vital part. He also didn't fail to notice that the felling of her there pleased him and brought a new, different kind of pride. It could be just the fact that he was responsible for her, but the way she sought him for comfort made his chest sweel with thousands of new sensations.
Once he arrived he scanned the surrounding area for potential danger, even going through different spectrum's in his bio-mask. After he deemed it safe he looked down at her. And yet once again she left him dumbfounded. There was not even a shadow of the despair and hopelessness from before, if he hadn't witnessed it, he would have doubted it ever happened.
"Oh Big guy, are you telling me I stink? "
'Yes' he thought but didn't answered, instead he just carefully lowered her to the ground. He saw how she favored one leg. ' It's not that she doesn't feel pain. She just hides it.' He added that information to the ever growing pile of new info he managed to gatter about her.
"Can you please, turn around? You know... For privacy."
Seeking to avoid more stress he obliged her request. He normally would take offense in such, but he understood that she didn't had any malicious intentions for him and even if she tried, he was stronger, faster and way meaner than her.
Once more, since meeting this little human he found himself sharpening all his senses just to make sure she was still there. Even Ush'kiele had commented on the fact that she was too silent and that most humans aren't as stealth as His human.
He took a moment to inspect his own state and decided that he too was smelling... Bad. He turned around in time to watch the little female dutifully cleaning her unusual clothing.
Opting for a safer approach he decided to keep his armour, shedding only what was water sensitive. It was a practical decision, he was covered in the rotten smelling blood, he and his armour.
Cet'anu washed his body with a grumpy demeanor, but every now and then, he risked a lingering glimpse toward the woman on the opposite shore of the lake. He observed the transformation of her fiery red hair to a deep blood-red when wet, captivated by the way her delicate, soft hands meticulously rid her skin of dirt and sweat. Mesmerized, he found himself drawn to the graceful curves of her body, the unconscious sway of her hips, and the intricate stories etched into her skin through scars. One could be fooled into believing this human was weak and fragile, however, the more he learned, more he was assured that she was, in her own way, a experienced warrior.
" Just so you know. In most civilizations it is considered Rude to stare someone. " Her voice pulled him out of his guts.
'Sly little thing!' Cet'anu cursed under his breath he was caught and felt a little ashamed. Just a little. He needed to put himself together, they would be doomed if he kept allowing his mind to be distracted by... Well by her.He was on the verge of exiting the water when he realized his concentration was in far worse shape than he had initially thought. Opting for a few more minutes submerged under the ice-cold water would be beneficial for the unwelcome problem in his croch.
May the Gods have mercy on him.
