I was so shocked to see Raphael de Luca making himself comfortable in the backseat of my car that I couldn't move or speak for a good two minutes. It wasn't until the man himself decided to break my stupor.

"Am I that attractive?" he asked, mischief laced in his voice, as if he hadn't just killed a girl a few days ago.

I cringed at his words. Realizing that I had cut the call long ago, I put the phone on my lap and finally asked, "What are you doing here?"

It didn't take me long to realize it was the wrong question. I should've asked how the hell he got inside my car. But then again, he probably had his own way.

The smile Rafael showed me was almost saccharine. "Wanted to see you, Queen," he said, and my confusion morphed into anger. "Get off the car, or I'll make you." Flames danced in my nerves, making it hard for me to even utter words as I clenched my teeth angrily.

But my words barely reached his ears. Instead, he spread his arms out, putting them above the headrest of my passenger seat. Then he did something unexpected, making me flinch again. Moving his body forward, he jumped on the seat beside me.

A silent gasp left my mouth upon witnessing his absurd behavior as he now made himself comfortable beside me.

Then he looked at me finally, another sheepish smile spreading on his lips as he spread his hand towards me. "Let me introduce myself properly again, Queen," he said before continuing, "Hello, I'm Rafael. You can call me Rafe."

I glanced down at his hand, then back up at him, a scowl on my face. I'd tried hard to suppress my disbelief.

What is it with this man? What in the world makes him think that I'll even touch him, let alone shake his hand?

After murdering my very best friend, he had the audacity to show up in front of me again, and now he wants to do niceties?

This man already topped the list of getting on my nerves the quickest, surpassing my elementary school bully Alessia Johnson, who's been on that list for years. Unironically, it didn't even take him a month for that.

"Get. Off." I hissed. There was an undeniable ache forming in my head already, and if that man didn't leave my car already, I'd strangle him to death myself. "Don't make me repeat myself, Rafael de Luca."

He finally pulled his hand back, probably realizing I'd never shake it.

Amusement crept beneath the calm surface of his eyes as he gazed at me with intensity. "I couldn't have fathomed you knew my full name, Queen."

When I refused to utter further words, he only chuckled, shaking his head a little. "Sure, I'll get off the car if that's what you want," he said before adding, "but remember that this isn't the last time we meet." A sick smirk played on his face, as promising as his words.
