"He asked you out to prom?" Anna asks, surprised. I had told her about Mr. Han asking me to go to prom with him.
"Yeah," I nod, popping a potato chip in my mouth. "But I don't understand why though."
"What did you tell him?"
"I didn't tell him anything," I reply, chewing. She gives me a shocked look. "What?"
"Okay, first of all, the hottest teacher in our school becomes our english teacher and then you guys exchange notes and then proceeds to ask you out to prom. And you say nothing?"
"That's correct."
I feel something hard hit the back of my head. "Ow!"
"Are you stupid?"
"What was that for?" I rub the sore spot with my hand.
"You're seriously not going to the prom even after he asked you?"
"Yes!" I exclaim. "It's just a dumb party."
She crosses her arms and shrinks her eyes at me. "No. You're going. You're going to go shopping with me right now."
"Excuse me?" I blink, before the potato chip bag is snatched away from my lap. "Hey!"
"Let's go. We're going to the mall."
I groan. There's no winning with her.

*HAN'S POV*
I thread my fingers through my hair, sighing as I go through the selection I had picked laid in front of me. "Why is that this store has boring colors?"
"I don't know man, maybe try a different store."
I turn to face my best friend, with his faded pink hair wearing a white shirt and blur jeans with sneakers looking very handsome. Chris was older than me by 2 years and already had a girlfriend. I've only met her a few times but she's very lovely and makes him very happy. She stuck by his side when his parents passed away a couple of years ago and I don't think he would've survived with out her. She also happens to be Vera's best friend, Anna.
"Bro, why are you even here?" I ask, annoyed.
"Why, my sweet friend. My lovely and adorable girlfriend, Anna wanted me to pick up some stuff for her before our little date later."
I do a gagging motion which earned me a smack on the arm. "You're a sweet factory that needs cleansing."
"Yah," he says, glaring at me and I go back to picking out a few more clothing items. My eye catches something in my peripheral vision and I do a double take. I walk a little to the side to get a better view. Is that Vera? I see her looking through a dress collection with her hair in a bun and wearing a blue plain shirt tucked in her washed jeans. I couldn't take my eyes off of her. My hearts beating faster than my breathing. I watch as her eyes scans through the clothes and scrunches up her nose whenever she doesn't like anything.
"Bro, you have got it bad."
I break out of my trance and turn my head. "What?"
"That's the girl you've been raving about for the past month," Chris says as he looks at her and back at me. "Not to mention she's your neighbor AND your student."
I curse at myself for him knowing who she is. I sigh. "Yeah."
"So, what's the hold up?"
I ask that question to myself every day. She's a student. I'm her teacher. The first time I laid my eyes on her, she was in just a jeans and hoodie but I felt like something had hit my chest and from that day on, my chest kept hurting every time I saw her.
