*THE WEEK BEFORE PROM*
"Stop moving!" Anna swats my hand away from grabbing a strawberry.
"Ow, hey!" I rubbed my hand.
"You can have all the strawberries you want after I finish this," she explains as she takes out an eyeliner pen. "Close." I close my eyes, feeling her hand working her magic. A few swipes before I feel her hand lifts from my cheek. "There. Now you can have the strawberries."
Standing up, I observe the work she did on my face. My eyes widen. Is that.....me? My lips the color of sheer coral, cheeks with a hint of rosy color and the smokey eyeshadow highlighted my entire face. "Anna."
"What?"
"This is so good! Why not become a make-up artist?"
She pauses, lifts her head and looks at me. "You're the second person to say that. Chris thinks I have a talent for it."
"Well," I lean close to the mirror observing my eyes. "He's not wrong."
"Thanks. I might change the eyes a bit on the day of, though."
"Fine by me." I smile as Anna packs up her stuff when her phone chimes. "I bet $10 that it's Chris texting you to ask if you can make him your cupcakea he loves so much."
She rolls her eyes but her eyes widen when she looks at her phone screen. "Damnit," she sighs and rummages through her bag, dishing out two $5 bills.
I grin as I take them. "Thank you."

*ANNA'S POV*
"Hey, does Mr. Han have a girlfriend?" I ask, sitting beside Chris as he played on my PlayStation in his room, chewing on my cupcakes.
"No."
"Does he like someone?"
"No."
"Does he like Vera?"
He pauses before turning towards me. "Who told you?"
I shrug my shoulders, twirling a hair strand aimlessly around my finger. "Just got a feeling."
He smiles, showing me dimples before he pinches my cheek. "Are you gonna tell her?" He asks but I shake my head, laying my head on his shoulder. "Wouldn't you want her to know though?"
"It's not like she's not going to notice," I replied, intertwining my hand with his. "Besides, prom is next week, who knows what might happen then?"
"Which reminds me." He reaches behind him and hands me a blue box. "For you."
"What's this?" I ask examining the wrapped rectangular box.
"Open it."
Excitedly, I open the box and gasp at what's underneath. "Chocolates?" I look up with a smile.
"I figured you might need them since you've been studying so hard for your exa-"
I cut him off by throwing my arms around him, kissing him on the lips. "Thank you." He smiles against my lips before he starts pepper kissing my face. "Okay okay. Channie, please stop!" He pulls back with a pout. I giggle before opening up the chocolate box and popping one in my mouth. If it's two things I love in this world, it's chocolates and the handsome boy sitting next to me.

*VERA'S POV*
School was extra slow this week and a lot of the students were anxious about the prom next week. As was I. Because I caught myself sneaking glances at Mr. Han every now and then. And I picked up on his little habits: running his hand through his vivd hair, scrunching his nose when he's concentrating and lastly, when he's teaching, his tongue darts out just a tad bit. I think it was because he was trying really drill the lessons in our brains.
