The spirit of the Lion King

Back in the Pridelands kingdom, the land was not only dried up, but there were bones everywhere too. Scar was picking on a bone while a red billed horn-bill named Zazu (voiced by Rowan Atkinson), who was once King Mufasa's majordomo, was in a cage, singing a sad song to pass the time. Zazu: "♪Nobody knows the trouble I've seen♫... ♪nobody knows my sorrow♫..." Scar: "Oh Zazu, do lighten up, sing something that has a little bounce in it." Zazu: "♪It's a small world after all♫..." Scar: "No!, anything but that..." Zazu: "Ugh... Mufasa never treated me like this..." Scar: "What did you say?!" Zazu: "Uh, nothing..." Scar: "You know the law!, never ever mention that name in front of me!, I am the king!" ScreamClaw: "No need to remind us that." said ScreamClaw, who along with ThunderSmacker and SpaceWarp came to the scene, which spooked both Scar and Zazu. Scar: "What have I told you not to sneak up on me?" SpaceWarp: "Uh... n-n-not to do it...?" Scar: "Yes... what do you want?" ScreamClaw: "Well... we were wondering... if you can turn the moon red tonight, as we need a red moon to get the mask working again." Scar: "And what makes you think I'll do that?" ThunderSmacker: "Well you're the most powerful sorcerer on the planet now, and you promised to help us become MegaTrog again in return of helping you become king, remember?" Scar: "Yes, I'm aware... but I can't help but feel like something is missing... I've been king for 20 years now... and yet I don't feel complete... still trapped under my brother's shadow... what did he had that I don't?" Zazu: "Would you like the short list, or the long list?" Scar: "Oh whatever..." Zazu: "Well... for starters, he had a noble heart, respect from his subjects, a loving family, a beautiful queen, shall I go on?" Scar: "Wait... that's it!, I need a queen!" Zazu: "A what?" Scar: "You heard me, a beautiful queen by my side, one I can have cubs with..." ScreamClaw: "Um... there's just one small problem..." ThunderSmacker: "There have been any lionesses in this kingdom for 20 years since you banished them for staying loyal to Mufasa and not you." SpaceWarp: "Y-y-yeah... so the chances of finding a q-q-queen in the kingdom is low..." Scar: "Alright... tell you what, if you three can search and bring me the most beautiful lioness you can find to be my queen, I shall make a red moon for you." ScreamClaw: "Ah... sounds like a good deal to me, very well... boys, let's go hunting." said ScreamClaw, before he and the other two demons flew off, to go search for a lioness worthy to be Scar's queen. Zazu: "Oh dear... what have I done...?" asked Zazu to himself, before Boney 10 came over to him. Boney 10: "So Scar is gonna get himself a queen... I wonder if she'll have a sweet keister?" Zazu: "That's the least of our problems!, thanks to that Genie friend of yours, Scar is destroying what's left of the kingdom!, and now those demons are out to capture a poor innocent lioness to be Scar's queen against her will!" Boney 10: "Don't blame Genie, blame the curse he's in, it's not his fault that he's forced to serve whoever has his lamp... and not only that... those poor children..." Zazu: "You mean the fox, pink cat and hyena twins?" Boney 10: "Yes... Scar banished them into a frozen wasteland... though they might be somewhere more lively as I was able to send the magic carpet to them before I got locked up here... I just hope that'll be enough to save them..." Zazu: "You really care about those kids, huh?" Boney 10: "I care a lot of all children... they're the future of many worlds... so full of life... fun to hang out with... and in need of someone to guide them on the right path... and I don't why... but I believe they can make a big difference... I just hope that happens soon... for their sake more than mine..." meanwhile, back in the jungle, Timon, Pumbaa and Kiara were leading Tommy, Gidget, Jokey and Jokeo to the little lioness's parents, who were happy to see that Kiara was okay. The mother was a lioness with blue eyes named Nala (voiced by Moria Kelly), and the father was a lion with red mane named Simba (voiced by Matthew Broderick), and he was the one that Gidget was suspicious of. Simba: "Kiara, what have I told you not to wander off on your own, you could have gotten hurt." Kiara: "Come on daddy, I'm not a baby, and I managed to make some new friends." Nala: "Oh that's sweet, mind if you introduce them to us?" Kiara: "Not at all, this is Tommy, Gidget, Jokey and Jokeo." Tommy: "Hi." Jokeo: "Yo." Jokeo: "Hello." Gidget: "Hmm... your name's Simba right?" Simba: "Yes that's right." said Simba, before Gidget used her psychic powers to look into the lion's mind to see his memories, and she was shocked. Gidget: "Oh my... it really is you... the lost son of the late king Mufasa!" this surprised everyone, but no more than Simba himself. Simba: "You knew my father?" Gidget: "Well... not much, but my adopted mother did when she was a kitten..." Tommy: "Did you use your psychic powers to look into his mind?" Gidget: "Hmm... maybe..." Kiara: "Wait... you said my dad was the son of a king right?" Gidget: "That's right, and since he's alive... that means... he's the king." Timon: "King?, little girl, have you got your 'lions' crossed." Jokey: "Ha, ha, ha!, I get it, lions... good one." Jokeo: "Yeah, ah, ha, ha, ha!" Pumbaa: "Wow... a king...?" Timon: "Come on Pumbaa, Simba's no king... are ya?" Simba: "No... well I was going to be... but that was a long time ago..." Timon: "Let me get this straight, you're a king, and you never told us?" Simba: "Look, I'm still the same lion." Timon: "But with power." Nala: "Um... can you give me and Simba a few minutes alone please?" Timon: "Uh... okay, come on kids, better let the grownups have their chat alone." Jokey: "What do grownups like to talk about?" Timon: "Well some like to talk about things that kids wouldn't understand... now come on." said Timon, before he takes the kids somewhere else, while Nala takes a look at Simba. Nala: "Simba... how long have we known each other?" Simba: "Uh... 20 years." Nala: "Yes... and yet you never once told me you were a king... why?" Simba: "Well... it's not something I like to talk about... something that... you would hate me for..." Nala: "What do you mean, what happened?" Simba: "Well... I did something terrible... and because of that, I can longer have the right to be king... so I ran away... out of the Pridelands kingdom... into the desert... and I would have been dead if Timon and Pumbaa didn't saved me in time... and those two became my parent figures... after I lost my own..." Nala: "And then we met at the river..." Simba: "Yeah... I could never forget it... my life went a whole lot better since then... a new life for me... for both of us... I'm really sorry I didn't tell you..." Nala: "Come on Simba... I'm sure whatever you did, you never meant to do it." Simba: "I know... and you're right, I never intended for it to happen... but I still did it... which is why I couldn't go back..." said Simba, lowering his head down in shame. Unaware to Simba or Nala, Gidget used her psychic powers to hear what the lions were talking about, and Gidget couldn't help but feel very sorry for Simba. Gidget: "Oh man... poor Simba..." Kiara: "Wait a second... if my dad's a king... then... that would make me... a princess..." Tommy: "Yeah, I guess you would be..." Timon: "I can't believe that Simba never told us..." Pumbaa: "Well... he did mention that he had a bad past... so maybe he didn't tell us as it's too terrible... and our Hakuna Matata made him forget it." Timon: "Yeah... I guess so... but still..." Jokeo: "Did you even asked him about his past?" Timon: "Well... no, not really." Gidget: "Well... bad past or not... the kingdom needs him back... and time's running out..." said Gidget, before she went off to see Simba again, and the other kids followed her behind. It wasn't long before Gidget came over to the adult lions. Simba: "Oh it's you..." Gidget: "Look... I'm sorry for whatever happened to you... but the Pridelands kingdom really needs you." Simba: "Nobody there wants me..." Gidget: "Yes they do, you're the king." Simba: "No I'm not, Scar is." Kiara: "Who?" Simba: "My uncle." Gidget: "Mr Simba... he taxed the heart and souls out of the people of the kingdom." Simba: "What?" Jokeo: "Not only that, but he has taken control of a very powerful and magical friend of ours to become a powerful scourer to cause a terrible drought in the land too." Tommy: "Everything's destroyed... no food, nor water..." Gidget: "Mr Simba, if you don't do something soon, everyone will starve to death!" Simba: "But even if that's true... I don't have the right to be king..." Kiara: "But daddy... you can't just let those people starve." Nala: "She's right, and even whatever you did was bad, sitting here doing nothing won't help ya." Simba: "But it won't bring him back either..." Tommy: "Bring who back?" suddenly, a voiced said 'his father of course', which caught the attention of the group. Simba turned around to see what looked like mandrill, holding a stick. His name was Rafiki (voiced by Robert Guillaume), and he was a friend of Simba's late father. Simba: "Who are you?" Rafiki: "The question is, who... are you?" Simba: "...I thought I knew... now I'm not so sure..." Rafiki: "Well I know who you are, you're Mufasa's boy." Simba: "Wait... you knew my father?" Rafiki: "Correction, I 'know' your father." Simba: "I hate to tell you this... but he died... a long time ago." Rafiki: "Nope... he's alive, and I'll show him to you, follow Rafiki, he knows the way, come on." said Rafiki, before he runs off to who knows where, and Simba started to follow him, while the others followed behind. Simba: "Hey!, slow down!" called out Simba, trying to keep up with Rafiki, before he sees that the Mandrill stood in front of him with his hand out. Rafiki: "Stop!... shh... look down there at the water." said Rafiki, pointing his stick at the pond, an Simba slowly walks up to see his reflection. Simba: "I don't get it... I only see my reflection..." Rafiki: "Look harder... for you see... he lives in you." said Rafiki, before Simba looks again, and that was when he sees his father's reflection in the water. That was when a storm cloud appeared, and the spirit of Mufasa (voiced by James Earl Jones) himself, came to the scene. Mufasa: "Simba... my son..." Simba: "Father...?" Mufasa: "Simba... you have forgotten me." Simba: "What?... how could I?" Mufasa: "You have forgotten who you are, and so forgotten me... look inside yourself Simba, you are more than what you have become... you must take your place in the circle of life." Simba: "How can I go back?, I'm not who I used to be..." Mufasa: "Remember who you are, you are my son... and the one true king of the Pridelands kingdom... remember... who you are..." said Mufasa's spirit, before the storm cloud leaves. Simba: "No!, please!, don't leave me again!" Mufasa: "I never left you... I've always been with you... and always will... as long as you remember... who you are... remember..." said the spirit of Mufasa, before the cloud leaves the scene. It wasn't long before the others came up to Simba, who was still looking up at the sky. Kiara: "So... was that my grandpa?" Simba: "Yes... that was him alright..." Gidget: "Wow... mama did told me Mufasa was a king who deserves respect... but witnessing his spirit... now I truly understand what she meant..." Tommy: "So... are you going back?" Simba: "Well... I don't know... what do you think Nala?... uh... Nala?" Kiara: "Mom?, where is she?" asked Kiara, who along with the others noticed that Nala was no where to be found. Jokeo: "That's odd, she was with us a moment ago..." Gidget: "Maybe my psychic powers to find her...[sees a vision of Nala being taken by three certain demons] oh no!" Tommy: "What's wrong?" Gidget: "She's been kidnapped!" Simba: "What?!" Kiara: "My mom's in trouble?!" Pumbaa: "But how?!" Timon: "Who took her?!" Gidget: "The Demon trio!, it was them!, and they're taking her to the Pridelands kingdom!" Jokey: "Hey, that's where we need to go too." that was when Tommy whistled and the magic carpet came to the scene. Kiara: "Whoa... what is that?" Tommy: "It's a magic carpet, we'll use it to get back." said Tommy, before Gidget comes over to Simba. Gidget: "Simba, I know I asked this before, but can you please come back to the Pridelands kingdom?" Simba: "You no longer need to ask... I'm know now that I have to go back... even though I've been running from my past for so long... [Rafiki bops him on the head with his stick] ow!, what was that for?!" Rafiki: "It doesn't matter, it's in the past." Simba: "Yeah, but it still hurts." Rafiki: "Yes, the past can hurt, but the way I see it, you can either run from it... or learn from it... [trying to swing his stick but Simba dodged this time] ha!, you see, so what are you gonna do?" Simba: "First... I'm gonna take your stick." said Simba, before he takes the stick and throws it. Rafiki: "Hey!, don't throw my stick! [then noticed Simba getting on the magic carpet with the others.] hey!, where are you going?!" Simba: "I'm going back!" Rafiki: "Good!, go on!, get out of here!, ah, ha, ha, ha, ha!, Whoo!, whoo!" cried out Rafiki in joy, knowing now that there is still hope for the Pridelands kingdom, as it's true is finally returning.
