I was seated on the bench with my companions when suddenly Max approached us. With a sneer, I asked him, "What do you want?" Ignoring my disdain, he sat down and began laughing with Evan.
I decided to pass the time by watching TikTok on my phone. However, out of nowhere, a fight broke out among some kids. They were punching, throwing, and climbing all over each other. My friends and I simply laughed, finding it unimpressive compared to the fights we had witnessed before.
Unable to tolerate Max's presence any longer, I got up and made my way over to Chase to hang out with him. Unfortunately, I had to endure Jack's annoying voice.
"God, do you ever shut up!" I exclaimed, staring at Jack.
Jack stared back at me and replied, "No, and I was here first. If you don't like it, then leave." He burst into laughter and started talking to Blaze.
After an hour, we were all sent to the assembly hall to take a 90-minute math exam. As I sat there, I looked around the room, knowing that I was going to fail but still making an effort.
"Pssst," Max whispered to a classmate, "what's the answer to question 10?" Before the classmate could respond, Mr. Wilson shouted, warning us not to share answers or face disqualification.
One student reacted to the shouting, while another simply laughed it off. Max pleaded with the classmate for the answer, but they were too scared to give in.
I turned to Max and purposely gave him the wrong answer, finding amusement in his self-satisfaction.
Glancing down at my test paper, which I hadn't even started, panic set in. "God, I should have studied," I muttered under my breath.
Teachers paced around the room, offering assistance to those in need but walking away when students begged for answers.
Another math teacher, Mr. Carter, laughed at a student who pleaded for an answer. He was known for not taking things seriously and always trying to find humor in situations.
Looking up, I realized we had about 20 minutes left, so I took advantage of that time to catch some sleep.
