Alga stood there, powerless to do anything from stopping Azka that is trying his best to stay away from her. And yet she remained persistent. She clenched her fists and swore under her breath.
"Why!?"
She screamed out to him.
"Why are you staying away from me!? If it's something I did you could atleast tell me!""You won't get it! This is the best for the both of us!"
"It would be if you could just tell me what happened!"
Another long minute of silence. The midnight winds blowing between them as the leaves fell.
...
...
...
Azka then spoke.
"Why... Why are you just so persistent?"
"Because I wanna know the truth. You left without a word. Thats not how you usually act, and I don't like seeing you like this. If you could just tell me what's going on, it would make everything tenfolds easier for me"
"You wouldn't understa-"
"I don't care if I don't understand!"
"..."
"I don't care if you think I would understand or not, I don't want you to just leave me like that, thats not who you are, and going back and fourth like this isn't gonna help either. So just tell me, What is it that you don't want me to know so much about!"
"...Y'know, I always thought that I didn't have anything to live for. Well, atleast thats what I thought all those years back. But the day that I met you, you changed that. You changed, Me. You made me no longer the person I was before. But two years later, we were split away, for so long... And the moment I found you again. I knew I had to let you go from me, I didn't wanna get too comfortable. I didn't want to love you as much as I'd want to admit. I didn't want to leave you without any warning, but I had to. I didn't want to grow attached."
Azka turned to see her face, the both of them were quiet. Alga released her fist and walked up to him, her steps silent as the night. She then gave him a light hug before slowly tightening her grip. Azka then started speaking.
"I tried... I tried so hard to make sure I wasn't going to fall in love with you... I didn't want to break the friendship we had, it was too risky, too much. So I had to stay away. It wasn't what I want, but its what I had to do."
Azka hugged her back, the two fell to their knees as Azka broke down in tears.
"Im... sorry if I made you feel that way, I know how much I mean to you, and I know how much you mean to me. The diary you left told me everything I needed to know. And Im glad to know you feel the same way I do to you. Thank you, thank you for being honest with me."
"Im sorry too. For everything... everything that I screwed up until now. "
"You never did, you were just in a bad spot. Im glad I brought you back."
The two stood back up, Azka wiped the tears off of his face as he did. Alga then invited him over to calm things down over a cup of tea
"So, would you, maybe like to clear things up over a cup of tea tommorow?"
"Heh, same place and time right?"
"Hahah, I'll see you then."
They parted ways. This time on good ends, the next day they met eachother back at the place at Alga works at going by their usual schedule. Thankfully for these two things were going back to normal
The next day a bell rang infront of the cafe's door, I imagine you could guess who it was by now.
"Az! welcome back!"
Alga ran to him from behind the counter and went to hug him."Wh- whoah! hey! slow down there, I just got here, heheh!"
"Why should I? Im glad your back to being your usual self again!"
She smiled lightly"Yeah, I'm, really sorry for everything I said last night."
"It's okay! I understand that you were just confused on what to do, we've both been there before."
"Heh, yeah. Well, shall we down a cup of tea for this fine evening?"
"Grab a seat then, we have lots to talk about!"
"Heheh, sure we do. Both cups are on me okay?"
"I'll make them free this time." Alga winks at him, Azka then grabs a seat near the counter as he usually does.
"So, uhm. Was it true what you said last night? I left my diary here like a few days ago?"
"Yep, you never asked for it back so I kept it for awhile. I still have it somewhere around here, give me a minute while I look." She then scrambled for the book below the counter, before giving it to Azka.
"Here it is! all intact!"
"Oh, so thats what I forgot! I knew I left something Important- wait- you uhh, didn't happen to look inside... did you?"
"... Okay I may or may not have flipped a few pages and found out that you liked me-"
"You WHAT-?"
"Ah- don't freak out! I mean its not like it makes much of a difference now does it? we're both dating!"
"wha, we are?"
"Of course silly!"
"You never told me!"
"Well you should've known better! but trust me, you won't regret every second you've spent with me!"
"I know I won't, but you could've atleast told me!"
The both of them chuckled as they traded sentences while drinking from their cups of tea. It was truly the start of something new, for the both of them. And for their relationship ahead. As they unfold new chapters of their life.
