EXODUS (엑소더스) is a South Korean-Chinese alternative rock band. The band was formed and debuted on the 8th of April 2013 by SM Entertainment in Seoul, South Korea. Their first song is One More Night, originally written and composed by Chanyeol and Kai during their pre-debut days.
The frontman of this band is Kai as the main vocalist followed by Chanyeol as the lead guitarist, bassist Sehun and drummer Lay.
The band's eccentric genres in music with fast, energetic tempo and melancholic rhythm has made them one of the most popular alternative rock bands in the world with the highest streams and being the viral sensation in social media such as TikTok and Instagram.
They have been under SM Entertainment for 4 years until Kai announces their departure from the company in 2017 to establish a new label on their own, called NNG Studio with Chanyeol being the leader. After their departure, they have more freedom and creativity to create many kinds of music with some new ideas and inspirations that can blend with their Korean and International fans' music taste as well.
The music genres that have been used by EXODUS to mix in their songs are: -Alternative Rock -Slow Rock -Indie Pop -Energetic Rock -Thrash Metal -Grunge -Ballad
and the most controversial genre because of the hate from their fans but they managed to create a great mix together with the rock tunes: Kpop
EXODUS also has won many awards in Korea and internationally during their career. They also have planned for the Grammys nomination this year to expand their career in the Western music industry as well.
