"Mark ?" Renjun questions.
"Renjun, i need help. It's Haechan."

"Is he ok?" He asks in a panic.

"Yes, but do you think you could talk to him for me? I kind of told him something about myself and now he's scared of me and I don't know what to do. He's locked himself in the bathroom." Renjun sighs.
"You told him you are a vampire?" He questions.
"Oh? You know?" Mark asks.
"Yeah, I found out earlier this evening. Put your phone under the door. I'll talk to him." Mark thanks him before doing as asked.
"Haechanie? It's me. Can you talk to me?" He hears sniffling in the background.
"Renjunie? I need to see your face." Renjun smiles as he switches to FaceTime.

"Wh-where are you? You aren't with, him are you?" Renjun smiles.
"If by him, you mean Jeno? Then yes I am." Haechan cries harder.
"You need to get away, now." He whisper shouts.
"Honey, look. I know you found something out tonight and you are scared but listen.
When was the last time Mark hurt you physically or otherwise?" Haechan frowns.
"Never but He's." Renjun tuts.
"But nothing. I have had a run in with a bad vampire, and you won't find one in this family. Trust me. Mark is a good guy, vampire or human, he's not going to hurt you. In fact I'd be willing to bet that he's the one that's hurting. He only told you to be honest with you, I'm sure he only wanted your love and acceptance." He says softly.
Haechan is silent before Renjun hears more sobs.

"But why did I have to fall in love with a fucking vampire? It doesn't make sense to me." He says quietly. Jeno decides to join in.
"You are his betrothed, just as Renjun is mine." Haechan scoffs.
"What? Like we are mates?" Jeno laughs.
"We're vampires not werewolves. Betrothed is someone that you wait your whole long ass sad existence of a life to meet. It's usually a happy occasion but as you know, when I met mine." He looks at Renjun.
"He was sick and being attacked by an asshole. It was fate that brought me to him that day, at that time. I could feel him. I still do when I'm near him. It's the best feeling. It tingles all over your body and warms you up. I felt that through the door. Then he screamed and I knew I had to get to him right away." He looks at Renjun who has tears flowing down his face and gently touches his cheek.
"Mark felt you that night in the hospital. We were both sad when Renjun kicked us out and Taeyong told us to pursue you guys and find our true happiness but we both agreed that it would happen by fate, that we would not force ourselves on you. Then we met again at the party and you know the rest. Mark loves you."
Haechan stares at a spot on the floor for a beat of silence.

"If you decide you Don't want to be with him that's up to you, he won't force you, if I know Mark he won't even beg. He will just admit defeat and walk away. I haven't seen Mark this happy in so long. He even smiles now." Haechan clears his throat.
"I should go talk to him." Jeno and Renjun both nod and bid their goodbyes.

When Haechan walks out it's with a new set of tears. He sees Mark sitting with his head down, head in his hands and elbows on his knees.
"Mark." He whispers. Mark looks up with red puffy eyes and a tear stained face. He walks closer and gets on his knees and takes his hands.
"I'm so sorry. I should have never feared you. I love you and wether you are human or vampire, you are amazing and kind and I love you so much. You are my life, please forgive me?" Mark sits, stunned. He never thought Haechan would be the one on his knees.
"Haechan, I, I Don't know what to say? I, I'm sorry. I truly love you with all of me but I can't expect you to carry this burden. I mean yeah, it Can have It's benefits but there are a lot of reasons why you should stay away. Haechan kisses his lips softly.

"Why did you tell me?" He simply asks.
"Because I was going to tell you how much I'm in love with you. I wanted us to have no secrets between us. Because in order to be together forever, we need to have honesty." Haechan smiles softly.
"See, forever. You want forever with me. With me? A sad middle class human?" Mark touches his face.
"A beautiful human who takes my breath away. Every glance, smile or laugh makes my heart happy. You make my long miserable life worth living." Haechan wipes his leaking eyes again.
"I love you so much." Haechan says before smashing his lips to Mark's.

Mark pulls him up onto his lap and continues kissing him softly before resting his forehead on the other's.
"I thought I lost you." He whispers.
"I was shocked and needed my friend to talk me down. I'm sorry I reacted that way but you won't lose me. I promise." Mark pulls him in for another kiss.
" I suppose bringing you out to a secluded cabin on the lake wasn't the best place to do this." Mark says with a coy smile. Haechan giggles and pecks his nose.
"It was a bit frightening at the time but now it's perfect." Mark sighs and helps him stand so he can as well.
"Come on, let's make a pillow fort in front of the fire and have some hot chocolate." Haechan smiles widely.
"That sounds perfect."

They gather all the blankets and pillows they can find, Mark lights some candles and Haechan makes the hot chocolate.
"It's so pretty." He says. He whips out his phone and takes a picture and sends it to Renjun right away, saying they are fine now and thanking them for helping him.
Renjun sends back a happy face and an I love you. Mark smiles softly as he watches him.
"I really love that you two have each other this way. Especially now that the truth is out, now you guys can talk about your vampire boyfriends to each other." Haechan laughs and walks over to set the mugs down before kissing him senseless.
"It's like Renjun and i are living out every fan girls Wattpad fantasy." Mark chuckles and helps him to sit. They cuddle up and drink their hot chocolate's and talk things through, much in the same way Jeno and Renjun did.

They end up falling asleep, tangled together in their blanket fort. Mark feels more free than he has in forever. He feels like all his 431 years were worth the wait for his one true love.
