Epilogue

After a month of living under Jeno and Renjun's roof, his parents have decided they are ready to move in to a place of their own. They found a small place nearby that is perfect for two people without a lot of belongings. Jeno has generously bought the apartment for them and helped them find jobs that aren't too taxing for their age. They tried to tell them they could live off of them forever but they wouldn't do it. Renjun is currently helping his mother pack while Jeno is having a discussion with his father.
"Honey, now I know Jeno loves you and you love him but why don't you ever hug or kiss? I've never even seen you hold hands." Renjun giggles.
"We do all those things but Jeno is shy and doesn't want to disrespect you in any way, but trust me. We do those things and more." She playfully slaps his arm.
"He's a good man, I'm so happy you found someone who treats you like you are the most precious gem.
Well, you are really. You are my precious gem." Renjun hugs her as he tears up.
"I'm going to miss you guys. I just got you back." He pouts.
"I know sweetie but you have to live your life, you can visit anytime." He nods.
"Same for you. Our door is always open and if you need anything, please don't hesitate to call." She nods with a smile.

Jeno walks in with a smile and Renjun can tell he wants a kiss so he decides to just do it. He walks over and pecks his lips softly. Jeno makes a cute surprised face which makes Renjun and his mother giggle.
"Haechan and Mark are here to help us move everything." Renjun's mother claps her hands.
"Oh, my other son and son in law are here." She says before going out to greet them.
Jeno pulls Renjun into his arms and hugs him tightly.
"How are you doing baby?" He sighs.
"I'm good. I'm happy." Jeno kisses his cheek.
"Good, I love you prince, and just so you know, we will continue to take care of them, watch over them." Renjun smiles widely.
"Thank you for being so fucking perfect." Jeno giggles.
"I think you must be looking in a mirror." Renjun slaps his chest and starts grabbing things to carry out.

Three months later...
Jeno has been working like a dog the last couple weeks. Renjun stays to help when he can but sometimes he will use that time to check in on his parents.
Tonight Jeno had planned a nice date for them but Renjun is worried he won't make it in time for their reservation. He went home to get ready and Jeno was just going to finish some paperwork but he's taking a long time. He finally texts Renjun to tell him to meet him there. He sighs, this isn't how he wanted their date to start. They've been working so much lately and he wants some time to relax with his man.
He's angry. He's going to tell him tonight that he needs to back off and let someone else do the work so he can spend some time with him.
He calls a cab and gets to the address he was given. It's a bit fancier than he's used to but he's been slowly letting Jeno spend more money on him and tonight they really need some time together so he won't say a thing.
He gives his name and is immediately ushered back to a private room. Awe, Jeno is being romantic tonight, he thinks as they get to the double doors.

When the doors open he is frozen. His heart is thumping wildly in his chest as he starts to sweat. There he is, the man he loves down on one knee. He slowly walks forward noticing the room is filled with their family, all watching him, some recording.
When he gets to Jeno he cries.
"Baby. Hi." Jeno says cutely. Renjun giggles.
"Hi." He says back through his tears.
"Wow, I had so much planned. I've been rehearsing this for weeks and now my mind is blank." Renjun giggles again.
"Renjun, you know how much I love you, and you know beyond a doubt that I plan to spend forever with you, regardless of your answer. And I know you feel the same. But instead of calling you my boyfriend, I'd really rather call you my husband. You are the reason I breathe, you are my forever, you are my home. So my beautiful prince? Will you marry me?" Renjun nods and leans down to kiss him softly on the lips.
"You are my person, of course I will marry you."

He giggles when Jeno, who's still on one knee,wraps his arms around his waist and pulls him close as he kisses the life out of him. They can hear the applause but they are so lost in this moment, they are the only two in existence. Renjun feels like he's floating, like he's living in a dream.
When they break away from each other Renjun cups Jeno's cheeks.
"I love you." He says simply as he leans down and kisses him again. Jeno says it back like a whisper on his lips. Jeno stands and takes his hand and turns him toward all the crying eyes in the room.
Haechan is the first to come up and hug him tightly.
"Congratulations baby. You've come so far in life and you deserve only happiness." Renjun smiles and kisses his cheek.
"We've come so far, I wouldn't be where I am without you. You've been more than my best friend, you've been my rock, and my brother. I love you Haechanie." He smiles softly.
"I love you too."
Everyone takes turns hugging and congratulating the two as the waiters bring in their food. Jeno ordered a catered seafood dinner for all.
