Chapter III - Exposed? Let's Celebrate!

Tsukasa wakes up this time by the yelling of people outside. He groaned and decided to take a look. But before that, he must get ready!

Once he does, he takes a look outside and sees that many people are shouting in fear and..his parents?

Confused, Tsukasa goes downstairs to ask Saki about this. Saki is sitting in the chair at the dining table, her head low. Tsukasa sits down next to her

"Saki..what's wrong? What's going on outside?" He asks, his tone gentle. "Mom and dad aren't going to eat again today too...and..from what I've heard, one thing has been stolen from every shop in this kingdom" Saki says and sighs sadly after. Tsukasa's eyes widen

"What?! How did this happen?" Tsukasa asked Saki, his voice full of concern, "I'm not sure..mom and dad said they're going to figure it out..and I can tell that they'll take a while...coming back today too" Saki's voice shakes, a tear falls down her cheek. "Ah- Saki...come here, big brother is here for you" Tsukasa says and hugs his sister as she sobs in his embrace. "I don't get it..they almost never have time for us...it's..it's..." Saki almost can't even talk.."Upsetting, I know. But one day, they will have the time. And besides, you can't really blame them for being busy, you know?" Tsukasa says, trying to comfort her

Saki sniffles. "Yea, you're right.." She slowly breaks the hug and Tsukasa smiles sadly. "Let's eat now, okay? How about we spend time together after breakfast, sounds good?" Tsukasa asks, Saki nods. A while later, their breakfast comes in, and the siblings eat their food

A while later, Saki drags Tsukasa's hand and they walk upstairs to her room. "I assume you want to do something?" Tsukasa asks, "Mhm! It's something fun, I promise!" Saki replied with a smile. Tsukasa is impressed how easy it is to cheer up his little sister, it's not anything bad though

They arrive at their destination and Tsukasa sees a piano. "This must be the piano dad got you, right?" He asks, Saki nods excitedly. "Mhm! So, here's the thing. You are going to play the piano and I'll sing along!" Saki says as she smiles, Tsukasa just stands there, stunned. "You..want me to play the piano? Saki..I'm not quite sure about that-" Tsukasa chuckles awkwardly. "Relax! I'm sure you still have that spirit in you. Try playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!" Saki requested with a smile

"Well, uh..if you insist" Tsukasa chuckled awkwardly and started playing the keys. Surprisingly, he still has the hang of it! Saki gasps softly. "See? I knew you still had it in you!" Saki praises and Tsukasa smiles. "Come on, play that again and I'll sing, okay?" Saki said, Tsukasa nodded

The room was filled with a sweet melody as Tsukasa pressed the keys. With Tsukasa's playing, Saki started singing along. Tsukasa starts getting into it and continues playing, he even ends up humming to himself a little bit. (Good thing Saki didn't hear anything...)

And like that, finished their wholesome sibling duet. Saki claps in amazement. "Tsukasa, you are amazing! You really are a star! The star of the piano!" Saki praises, Tsukasa's eyes widen, before he starts speaking confidently. "Of course I am, my dear sister! I am a star! A star of everything!" Tsukasa said, and the siblings laughed

Timeskip

It's now 1 am. Time for Tsukasa to strike! As he wears his cloak, he remembers how Shizuku told him that he hasn't been putting the hood on properly and she ended up fixing it for him. Embarrassed that'll happen again, he fixed the hood of his cloak and there! No one will recognise him

A knock can be heard at the balcony window, Tsukasa turns around and sees Shizuku. He opened the window. "Let me guess..I have to climb off the balcony again?" Tsukasa said, half-teasingly. "I would love to do that but unfortunately, no. You'll have to go your own route" Shizuku replied, Tsukasa seems shocked. "Huh?? But why?" Tsukasa asked. "You'll know soon, go out there. She's waiting for you" Shizuku said before jumping off
