Virat looked at Rohit who was sitting on the bench, lost in his thoughts.

"Dada, who is he?", Vamika asked again, she was watching Rohit too, resting her head on his shoulder.

Virat closed his eyes, feeling the pain of all the mistakes he made. He made Vamika stand and kneeled infront of her.

"You know what, why don't you find out yourself? I know my princess is very smart. Go, meet him, talk to him and then tell me if you identify him?", Virat said poking her nose, "no running", he instructed.

Vamika went towards Rohit, Virat leaned on the pillar want to watch that interaction and conversation between his daughter and his best friend.

Vamika slowly patted his shoulder, Rohit was surprised to see her there.

"Hello", Vamika said forwarding her hand.

Rohit smiled at her gesture, he shook her hand with moist eyes, "hey little one", Rohit said softly.

Rohit couldn't help but admire her, How cute she was! Her small hands, doe eyes, cheeks like her father.

"Are you okay?", Vamika asked which made Rohit smile, he nodded in a yes.

"Can I sit with you?", Vamika asked and Rohit made space for her. She tried to hop on the bench but it was difficult, Rohit helped her to sit.

Vamika was looking at Rohit curiously.

"What are you looking at little one?", Rohit asked, as Vamika was staring him with curious eyes.

Vamika took a good look once more, "What did you call me?", she asked.

"Little one", Rohit repeated, confused by her actions.

Suddenly, Vamika got the hint, her eyes big in surprise, she turned to Virat who was behind them.

"Dada, is he the Panda in that story, you tell me every night", Vamika asked excitedly.

Rohit looked at Virat, who was there leaning on the pillar looking at them, "yes beta, u are smart huh?", Virat said making her smile.

Vamika immediately hugged Rohit with her hands around his neck surprising him.

Rohit hugged her back with all the love and longing he had.

"You are that Monkey-- Cheeku's, I mean Dada's best friend, right?" Vamika asked breaking the hug and waiting for Rohit to answer.

Rohit wanted to deny that he was her Dada's best friend but seeing the hopeful eyes of the little girl infront of him, he didn't have the heart to.

Virat kept his fingers crossed, hoping that Rohit say yes.

"Yes, I am" Rohit said to which Vamika's eyes shined with happiness.

"Vamika, time for dinner, come" said Virat seeing the time.

Vamika got down from the bench. She was walking towards Virat, she noticed she was alone. She looked back to see Rohit at the same place. She went back to him and gave her hand.

"Come", she said and Rohit's heart was filled with joy and eyes with tears of happiness.

Rohit held her little hand and walked with her to the kitchen.

Virat made her sit on her chair, placed a napkin on her neck and lap.

"What is your name?", Vamika asked as Virat and Aman were arranging the dishes while Vamika made Rohit sit beside her.

Rohit looked at Virat but Virat didnt even look at him, he just continued arranging everything properly.

"Vamu, no talking while having your food", Virat instructed taking a seat beside her at the other side of the table.

Vamika pouted at that, "Dada but--", she stopped when Virat looked at her.

"Dont worry, I will tell you, for now-- eat your dinner, okay little one?", Rohit said softly to which Vamika got happy.

She completed her dinner properly. Aman took her outside in the garden for a walk before Virat could even say something to him.

Now only Virat and Rohit are in the kitchen, Virat got up wrapping everything.

"your room is ready, it is the left one from garden", said Virat keeping all the dishes in the sink.

Rohit looked at him cleaning everything, "Why didn't you tell her my name or anyone else's for that matter?", he asked.

"I didn't know if I would be coming back here", Virat answered washing the dishes.

Rohit couldn't help but stumble on his step in shock, he held the chair for support. Virat saw it but didn't move from his place.

"I think you should take some rest", Virat said completing the chores.

Rohit just left from there not able to hear anything more from Virat at that particular moment.

"Rohit"

"Jad" said Rohit on the call, he was relieved for a moment when he heard his voice. He didnt know why, only Jaddu could understand his emotional turmoil at the moment. He was so glad he called.

"You found him? It is him who signed the deal?"

"Yes Jaddu, it's him, he is here Jad", Rohit said seeing Virat keeping the leftovers in fridge.

"How is he?", Jaddu asked and then it hit Rohit, he was so occupied with his emotions that he didnt even see how Virat was. No wonder Virat went away from him, he was a horrible friend.

Rohit looked at Virat properly, how he was doing all the chores, once done, leaning on the pillar and watching his daughter and Aman walking in the garden after the dinner.

"Will call you later", Rohit said hanging up the call.

"Vamu, come beta, time up", Virat said to which she went to him immediately.

She held his hand and they walked to her bedroom, Rohit could not help but watch their each and every moment, action.

Virat sat on the bed, Vamika cuddled to his side as he opens a book to read it to her. Once Virat started reading, Rohit went to his room as he was too tired to think more.

"Aman, what are you doing here?", Rohit asked seeing Aman in the room.

"Virat sir told me that you require water at night if u wake up incase and also the pillow u use is soft one otherwise u will get neck pain, so was just keeping that", said Aman keeping everything.

Rohit was just standing there processing everything, he didn't know what to think.

"Why is he back Aman?", Rohit asked, that was just plain question right now.

"Not my place to say Rohit sir but I am here to reunite his family, he has been through a lot and I don't want him to be alone anymore", said Aman and left the room.

Rohit freshened up and saw a new fresh set of lounge wear ready in the cupboard, he changed into it. He was just about to lay down when he heard some noise.

He went out of the room and saw Virat coming out of Vamika's room, keeping the door little open.

Virat went in the living room, sat on the couch with a glass of wine it seemed. He kept the alarm thing on the table and was reading a book, watching something on laptop, noting down the things.

"When does he sleep?", Rohit thought seeing the time and him working.

It was just too much to think at that moment, so he just went in his room and dozed off.
